Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival in Bodh Gaya (50 km)

  Arrive at Gaya Airport/Railway Station and transfer to Bodh Gaya.
  Visit Mahabodhi Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where Buddha attained enlightenment.
  Explore Bodhi Tree, Animesh Lochan Chaitya, Muchalinda Pond, Sujata Stupa, and Thai & Japanese Monasteries.
  Overnight stay in Bodh Gaya.

• Day 2 : Bodh Gaya – Rajgir – Nalanda – Patna (180 km)

  Drive to Rajgir, where Buddha spent many years meditating.
  Visit Vulture’s Peak, Gridhakuta Hill, Bimbisara Jail, and Japanese Peace Pagoda.
  Proceed to Nalanda, home to the famous Nalanda University Ruins.
  Continue to Patna, visit Patna Museum (houses Buddha’s relics) and Buddha Smriti Park.
  Overnight stay in Patna.

  Drive to Vaishali, the site of Buddha’s last sermon.

  Proceed to Kesariya, home to the tallest Buddhist Stupa in the world.
  Continue to Kushinagar, the place of Buddha’s Mahaparinirvana.
  Visit Mahaparinirvana Temple, Ramabhar Stupa, and Wat Thai Temple.
  Overnight stay in Kushinagar.

• Day 4 : Kushinagar – Lumbini (170 km)

  Cross into Nepal and reach Lumbini, Buddha’s birthplace.
  Visit Maya Devi Temple, Ashokan Pillar, Sacred Garden, and World Peace Pagoda.
  Explore various monasteries built by different countries.
  Overnight stay in Lumbini.

• Day 5 : Lumbini – Kapilavastu – Sravasti (250 km)

  Visit Kapilavastu, the ancient capital of Buddha’s childhood.
  Explore Tilaurakot Palace ruins.
  Drive to Sravasti, where Buddha performed many miracles.
  Visit Jetavana Monastery, Anandabodhi Tree, and Angulimala Stupa.
  Overnight stay in Sravasti.

• Day 6 : Sravasti – Varanasi – Sarnath (320 km)

  Drive to Varanasi, one of the world’s oldest cities.
  Visit the Ganges Ghats for a spiritual experience.
  Proceed to Sarnath, where Buddha gave his first sermon.
  Visit Dhamek Stupa, Mulagandha Kuti Vihar, Chaukhandi Stupa, and Sarnath Museum.
  Overnight stay in Varanasi.
