• Day 1 : Arrive Delhi Airport – drive to Chandigarh via Kurushetra (260Kms, 6Hrs drive)

  Scheduled arrive Delhi Airport, meet our representative who will warmly welcome and depart for Chandigarh via Kurushetra lies at distance of 160 km from New Delhi and about 93 km from Chandigarh. On reaching Kurushetra explore the city. According to the Puranas, Kurukshetra is a region named after King Kuru, the ancestor of Kauravas and Pandavas, as depicted in epic Mahabharata. The importance of the place is attributed to the fact that the Kurukshetra War of the Mahabharata was fought on this land and the Bhagvad Gita was preached here during the war when Lord Krishna found Arjuna in a terrible dilemma. Visit Brahma Sarovar, Sannihit Sarovar, Bhisma Kund etc. Later in the afternoon depart for Chandigarh. On reaching check into hotel. Rest of time free at leisure/ own activities. It is very beautiful town in the upper reaches of Kangra Valley and is surrounded by coniferous forests. The lower reaches is known as McLeodGanj is dwelling place of the Dalai Lama. On reaching visit Durgiana Mandir, Jalianwallah Bagh etc. In the afternoon go on excursion tour of Wagha Border to watch the retreat ceremony performed between Indian and Pakistani soldiers. Flags ceremony is daily military practice that the security forces of India and Pakistan have followed since 1959. This ceremony takes place every evening before sunset at the Wagha border.
