Day 1 : Arrival in Ahmedabad
Arrival in Ahmedabad, welcome to Akshardham Temple (Monday Closed) Akshardham is located in the capital Gandhinagar, near Ahmedabad.
Sidi Syed Mosque, built in 1573, is one of the most famous mosques of Ahmedabad.
Hathisingh Temple was built outside Delhi Gate in 1850 by Sheth Hathisingh, a wealthy Jain merchant. It is the most famous of the many ornate Jain temples in Ahmedabad.
Day 2 : Ahmedabad – Jamnagar – Dwakra
After breakfast drive towards Dwarka, en route visit Jamnagar Bala Hanuman Temple – Bala Hanuman Temple is a pilgrimage place revered by the devotees of Lord Rama. It is a world famous temple, known for the continuous chanting of Jai Ram, Shri Ram. This chanting has been going on since 1964 and has found a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. People chant the name of God in shifts 24 hours a day.
Later proceed to Dwarka, visit Lord Dwarkadhish Temple. Dwarkadhish Temple – Attend the evening aarti darshan at the temple of Lord Krishna. Stay in Dwarka.
Day 3 : Dwarka sightseeing
Join the morning aarti at Dwarkadhish Temple, have breakfast followed by visit to Bet Dwarka, Nageshwar Jyotirlinga and Rukmani Temple.
Bet Dwarka – Also known as Bet Shankhoddar, Bet Dwarka is just 5 kilometers away from Okha Junction in the sea and Okha is 30 kilometers away from Dwarka. It is said that this is the place where Lord Krishna lived with his family when he ruled Dwarka. This is also the place where Vishnu killed the demon Shankhasura. Tourists definitely visit the Krishna temple situated at this place, which is very interesting to see and experience.
Nageshwar Mahadev – The Puranas mention 12 Jyotirlingas or light pillars representing Lord Shiva, who appeared in that form in different parts of India. This Shiva temple near Dwarka is one of these and hence it is highly respected.
Rukmani Temple – Temple of Lord Krishna’s wife. Stay in Dwarka.
Day 4 : Dwarka – Porbandar – Somnath
After breakfast, depart for Porbandar, visit Kirti Mandir, Sudam, which is said to be the home and birth place of Mahatma Gandhi. Behind the house of Gandhiji’s wife Kasturba. Also visited Gandhi Museum, study room of Mahatma Gandhi at Kirti Mandir. Later traveled to Sudama Temple and continued towards Somnath, Evening Aarti Darshan at Somnath Temple – A Lord Shiva temple known as Jyotirlinga built by Moon God. Enjoy the lighting and sounding show during your night stay at Somnath.
Day 5 : Somnath – Diu (120kms)
After breakfast in the morning, visit Bhalika Tirtha and Triveni Ghat. Later drive to Diu, Visit Diu: A beautiful blend of sun, sand and sea, Diu is God’s gift to those who are looking for a blessed land where the weary weight of this shadowy world can be shed. Can be lightened and awakened for the time being. The soul can hear the music of nature. In the late afternoon you will proceed to visit St. Paul’s Church, Diu Fort and the markets.
St. Paul’s Church – St. Paul’s Church is dedicated to Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception. The construction of the church was started in 1601 and was completed in the year 1610. The main facade of the church is perhaps the most elaborate of all the Portuguese churches in India. The façade is illuminated with flood lights.
Diu Fort: It is a huge and imposing structure, situated on the coast of the island. A spectacular view of the sea is visible from the fort. It was constructed between 1535 and 1541 AD. The fort is surrounded by sea on three sides. A huge light house stands on the fort. Several Canons still stare menacingly from above. The main front wall has five huge windows with stone galleries. The fort is creatively illuminated, offering a breathtaking view at night. Hard yet gentle, fierce yet loving. This majestic structure stands as a sentinel on the banks of Diu. Once inside, you are overwhelmed by the grandeur of the ancient stone work which takes you to a bygone era of brave soldiers where time stands still. overnight Stay in Diu.
Day 6 : Diu to Sasangir
After morning breakfast proceed to Sasangir, [Gir National Park will be closed from 15th June till 15th June, every year at the same time we will visit Devalia Park in Sasangir. Dewaila Park will also remain closed every Wednesday and in case of heavy rain. Sasan Gir Lion Sanctuary is home to about 300 Asiatic lions. Sasan Gir is the only place in the world outside the African continent where a lion can be seen in its natural habitat. Gir Wildlife Sanctuary is the last refuge of Asiatic lions in India and the population of lions living in the park is just over 300. The entire coverage area of Gir Sanctuary is about 560 square miles (1,450 square kilometers). Gir is not just about lions, the second most common predator in Gir is the leopard. In fact, Gir National Park has one of the largest leopard populations of any park in India, and especially in the hot season they can sometimes be seen close to the lodges at night. The resident animals of Gir National Park are Sambar deer, Chital spotted deer, Nilgai deer, Chowsingha four-horned deer, Chinkara gazelle, wild boar, Langur monkey, jackal and hyena and many birds like Paradise flycatcher, Bonelli’s eagle, Crested serpent eagle, Woodpecker. Flamingos etc. live in Sasangir.
Day 7 : Sasangir to Ahmedabad Departure
In the morning after breakfast drive to Ahmedabad and transfer to airport/railway station for onward journey.
