Day 1 : Arrival at Entebbe
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport you will be met by your Range Land Safari guide/driver who will thereafter, meet and greet, transfer you to lodge for overnight and preparation for the next day trip to the jungle. Arriving in the afternoon will allow an evening tour of the Botanical gardens rich with bird life.
Day 2 : Kampala to Bwindi Forest for Gorilla trekking.
The drive starts in the morning after a warm breakfast, the trip takes you the south western region of Uganda through the open grasslands of Lake Mburo national park and the farmlands of the Ankole region. Have a stopover at the Igongo Cultural centre for lunch before taking on the rolling yet beautiful hills of Kabale and Kisoro to the Rushaga sector of the Bwindi Impenetrable forest.
Day 3 : Unforgettable Gorilla Experience
Wake up early with a cup of coffee and a briefing from UWA officials, ready for trekking that begins at 8am. Visitors are advised to carry a rain jacket and walking boots. The lodge will provide drinking water, simple snacks. The ranger guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy primates.
Gorilla trekking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort.
Day 4 : Bwindi forest to Queen Elizabeth National park.
Wake up for a warm breakfast and thereafter, drive to Queen Elizabeth national park. This trip will take you through the different landscapes of the western part of Uganda on to the foot hills of the Rwenzori Mountains that supports the tea plantation.
Arrive at the lodge in the early afternoon for lunch. After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes Edward and George, and spot the large numbers of buffalos, Elephants and hippos and the only bird sanctuary in the region that has different species of birds. Drive back to the lodge through the channel track as we see game life
Day 5 : Experiencing the Gem in Queen
You will enjoy an early morning game drive in Uganda’s Queen Elizabeth National Park, where all the big game can be seen. Look out for Lions, elephant and Ugandan kob, and, if you are lucky, the giant forest hog. There are 638 recorded bird species in the park kindly bring along your binoculars!
After lunch, you shall drive to Kibale forest known to be the home of the biggest number of primate in Africa. The drive will take you through the crater lakes area commonly known as the “Top of the World Craters”
