Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Nairobi - Samburu

  Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through central Kenya and north across the equator to Samburu National Reserve arriving Samburu Sopa Lodgen time lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Samburu jamii camp.
  Approx Transit time: 6 hrs
  
  The highlights of Samburu game reserve is the spectacular scenic beauty, rivers and forests. It is an area where the local people have a rich and colorful heritage. The reserves have numerous permanent springs and a wealth of wildlife which includes leopard, hippo, elephant, lion, reticulated giraffe, grevy’s zebra and crocodile in the Ewaso Nyiro River. Over 365 species of birds have been identified in the sanctuaries.

• Day 2 : Samburu

  Full day in Samburu, with an early morning and late afternoon game drive. Samburu is a beautiful and and game abundant park, home to rarely found species such as the Beisa Oryx, Grevy's zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe. Optional activities include a visit to a local Samburu village, camel riding and guided nature and bird walks. All meals and overnight at jamii camp.

• Day 3 : Samburu - Lake Baringo - Great Rift Valley

  Leaving Samburu, cross the Lerochi Plateau and descend to the floor of the Great Rift Valley, arriving at Lake Baringo by early afternoon. This fresh water lake supports an abundance of birdlife alongside hippos and crocodiles that languish on the lake shore. Dinner and overnight stay at Roberts camp. In the spectacular Lake Bogoria; hot springs and geysers are the main attractions. The lake has been called ‘the new home of the flamingo’ with a nomad population of up to two million birds. For the bird enthusiasts, Kesubo swamp located north of the park is home to more than 200 species of birds. Lake Baringo is the most Northerly of Kenya’s small Rift Valley lakes; creased with papyrus and well developed acacia forest. Hippos, crocodiles and monitor lizards are effortlessly seen from the shore, as is a magnificent display of water birds. This is Kenya's bird watching centre with over 1200 different species native to the country and more than 450 sighted here. A bird watcher's haven but beware, this is malaria land so it is best to come prepared with plenty of mosquito repellent.

• Day 4 : Lake Bogoria -Lake Nakuru

  At the nearby Lake Bogoria visit an area of bubbling hot springs and steaming geysers, and admire the pink swathes of flamingos on the soda lake. Then at Lake Nakuru National Park enjoy an afternoon game drive, where we literally trip over the many rhino in the park, and if lucky might see a pride of lion languishing in the shade, or leopard in the Acacia trees. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Nakuru budget hotel Lake Nakuru's claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo's and the over 400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of the at times millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink. The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all residents here

• Day 5 : Nakuru - Masai Mara

  Morning game drive, Watch and photograph Birds and Animals , breakfast and depart for Masai Mara which is Kenya's most celebrated game park, it offers the possibility of seeing "the big five" and many other species of game. This is where the great wildebeest migration is a spectacle to behold for any would be visitor to Kenya mainly in July and August of each year., Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at camp

  Full days exploring the Maasai Mara National Park. Morning and afternoon game drive. Optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 450 per person .Meals and overnight at camp The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant.
