7 Nights 8 Days Gangtok - Lachung - Darjeeling Tour

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : NJP RLY STATION / IXB AIRPORT – GANGTOK (120 KILOMETER / 5 HOURS)

  As you will arrive at New Jalpaiguri railway station (Siliguri) or Bagdogra Airport (Siliguri), our representative will be waiting for you to transfer you to Gangtok (5,500 ft.). On your journey to Gangtok (5,500 Feet), you will be passing through rolling tea plantations up and down the hill. Overnight dinner and stay at Gangtok hotel.

• Day 2 : EXCURSION TO TSOMGO LAKE & BABA MANDIR

  After breakfast in the morning, we will start an excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) and Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.), which are about 55 km one way from Gangtok city. After exploring the lake and the temple, return back to your hotel in Gangtok for an overnight stay.

• Day 3 : GANGTOK – LACHUNG (118 KMS / 6 HRS)

  In the morning after breakfast, we will pick you up from the hotel and transfer to Lachung (8,800 ft). En-route, we will visit Singhik View point, Seven Sister Water Fall, Naga Water Fall and later arrive at Lachung by evening. Enjoy dinner followed by an overnight stay at the hotel in Lachung.

• Day 4 : LACHUNG – YUMTHANG VALLEY EXCURSION- GANGTOK (118 KMS / 6 HRS)

  After breakfast in the morning, we will proceed to Yumthang Valley which is also known as the Valley of Flowers (11800 Ft / 3598 Mts / 25 Kms / 1 ½ hours one way). On the way back, we will visit the hot spring which is considered to have medicinal properties. Later return back to hotel & leave for Gangtok. An overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.

• Day 5 : GANGTOK LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

  After early morning breakfast guests will be starting for sightseeing tour. As per your itinerary, today you will be visiting Tashi view point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Flower show,  Handicraft Centre, Institute of Tibetology, Dro-dulChorten,,Enchey Monastery & Banjakhri Falls (maximum 6 hours). Dinner and overnight stay at Gangtok hotel.

• Day 6 : GANGTOK TO DARJEELING (105 KM)

  After breakfast drive to Darjeeling, land of unspoiled natural beauty with alpine landscapes, thick luxuriant forests, rivers in torrent and peaceful lakes. On arrival, check into a hotel. For rest of the day you are free to explore the local area. Overnight stay at the hotel.

• Day 7 : DARJEELING FULL DAY SIGHTSEEING 

  Early in the morning, we will leave for Tiger Hill for witnessing sunrise over Mt. Kanchendzonga. Return to the hotel and en-route visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. Later, after breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, PNZ Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refuge Centre (closed on Sunday) and Tea Garden (outer view). Return to the hotel for lunch and spend rest of the day at leisure, followed by overnight stay.

• Day 8 : DARJEELING TO IXB/NJP DEPARTURE

  In the morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel on time and get transferred to NJP Railway station / IXB Airport for your onward journey.
