Day 1 : Welcome To Holy Israel!
Airport Assist & Transfer
After clearing passport control a Shalom Israel Tours representative will be waiting to welcome you, assist with your luggage, and escort you to your waiting chauffeur for transfer. Arrive in Tel Aviv, Israel’s first “modern” city to relax and get ready to begin your journey!
Day 2 : Israel’s Coast – Ancient Ports
Ancient Caesarea Ruins
The ruins of Roman and Crusader structures in Caesarea tell the story of this once Christian port town. Highlights include the ruins of a Hippodrome, Roman theater, shop-lined Byzantine street, Greek mosaic inscription, and Crusader cathedral dedicated to St. Paul.
Meggido National Park
Learn about the history of the biblical period and visit Armageddon. An impressive water system commissioned by King Solomon and expanded by King Ahab is tall enough to walk through. Other finds at the site include a Late Bronze Age gate, palace and ancient stables.
Bahai Gardens Haifa
Also known as the Hanging Gardens of Haifa, the Bahai Gardens here were built on 19 cascading terraces that rise more than half a mile up the slope of Mount Carmel. From the beautifully landscaped gardens, visitors can take in spectacular views of Haifa and its bay.
Acco Fortified Walls & Market
One of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world- Acco, dating back to the time of the Pharaoh Thutmose III (1504-1450 BCE). A walk along the land wall and along the sea wall is a unique experience, which illustrates the military strength of the protected city.
Day 3 : The Sea Of Galilee – Holy Waters
Cruise on the Sea of Galilee
In Tiberius, enjoy a boat ride along the crystal blue waters of Israel’s largest freshwater lake. The Sea of Galilee, also known as the Kinneret, sits 209 m below sea level. It is the main source of water for drinking in modern Israel and is known as “holy” since ancient times.
Capernaum National Park
This is the town where Jesus settled after leaving Nazareth and where he chose his disciples. Archaeological excavations have revealed a gathering place for the early Christian community and modern day church that stands where the house of Peter once stood.
Tabgha Holy Sites
The site of the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes as well as the fourth resurrection of Jesus, Tabgha is home to several holy sites. These include the Church of Loaves and Fishes, the Church of the Primacy of St. Peter and a Benedictine monastery.
Mount of Beautitudes
Visit the site of the Sermon on the Mount and the church commemorating it. The church is designed in an octagon to represent the eight beatitudes, with floor mosaics symbolizing the seven virtues. Look down at the Plain of Gennesaret, where Jesus healed the multitudes.
The Famous Banias Spring
Paneas (Banias) was first settled in the Hellenistic period following Alexander the Great's conquest of the east. Later King Herrod built a temple here; the ancient remains still stand in front of the cave. After Herod’s death, his son Philip founded his capital near the Banias.
Day 4 : Nazareth & The Jordan Valley
Nazareth Holy Sites
Visit the churches that commemorate the Annunciation, when Mary was informed of Jesus' impending birth. Visit Mary's Well and a cave that may have held Joseph's workshop.
Yardenit Baptismal Site
Follow in the footsteps of Jesus, who was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist. Touch the "Wall of New Life," where the baptismal verse is written in various languages.
Beit Shean Ruins
The fully excavated theater and town of Beit Shean tell the story of daily life in the time of Jesus. See the remains of the town, with its colonnaded streets and elaborate bathhouses. Learn about the history of the city, inhabited over the years by pagans, Jews and Christians.
Day 5 : Jerusalem Old City – The Holy Capital
The Mount of Olives
Associated with so many major events in the life of Jesus, including his arrest, the Mount of Olives serves as a rich area for Christian worship and pilgrimage. Today, camels, monasteries, and ancient tombstones dot these scenic slopes overlooking the Kidron Valley.
Church of All Nations
Visit this beautiful Mount of Olives church, which stands on the spot where Jesus issued his last prayer before his arrest and crucifixion. The building is decorated with mosaics paying homage to the many nations that contributed to the most recent phase of its construction.
King David’s Tomb
Possibly the tomb of the great Israelite King David, this site has been visited by pilgrims Jewish and Christian for centuries. It also served as a substitute prayer site when Jews were denied access to the Wailing Wall (1948 to 1967) while Jordan controlled the Old City.
Last Supper Room
Visit the site of the Last Supper, where Jesus dined with his disciples on the night before his arrest. Situated above the Tomb of King David, this long hall is a perfect place for group or individual worship. The rooftop here offers a panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem.
The Temple Mount
Atop the Temple Mount stands one of the most magnificent Islamic structures. Particularly interesting to Christians is the founding inscription mentioning Jesus and Mary and the Foundation Stone, marking the site of the Holy of Holies and spot of the Sacrifice of Isaac.
Church of the Holy Sepulchre
The last stop on the Via Dolorosa, this church, a prime example of medieval architecture, is the site of Jesus' tomb as well as his crucifixion. Here you can worship at the Rock of Cavalry and the Stone of the Anointing and in the Catholic and Greek Orthodox chapels.

Day 6 : Jerusalem’S New City & Bethlehem
Ein Kerem Village & Church of the Visitation
Commissioned by St. Helene, this holy site commemorates the visit by the Virgin Mary to Elizabeth, mother of John the Baptist. This is where Mary recited the song of praise known as the Magnificat. The architecture is Italian and contains frescoes depicting the Visitation.
Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum
Tour Jerusalem's international center for the documentation, research, education and commemoration of the Holocaust. Highlights include the Hall of Names, a memorial to individual victims, and “The World that Was” which documents pre-war European Jewry.
Israel Museum & Dead Sea Scrolls
Tour Israel's foremost museum, home to impressive collections of art and archaeology from ancient and modern Israel and the Jewish Diaspora. View some of the original Dead Sea Scrolls, which shed light on the milieu in which Jesus and John the Baptist lived and taught.
Bethlehem & Rachel’s Tomb
Next we will travel to Bethlehem, the place of the birth of Jesus in the Grotto of the Nativity. Also in Bethlehem is the tomb of Rachel, a symbol of hope for the Jewish people, as she was childless for many years, but ultimately became the Matriarch of the Jewish people.
Day 7 : The Judean Desert – King Herod’s Fortress
Masada Mountain & Cable Car
Learn about the end of Jewish independence at the time when Christianity was just getting started. View a short film which tells the story of the site, and hike or take a cable car up the mountain to view the ruins of Herod's palace overlooking the Dead Sea & Judean Desert.
Dead Sea Float
Travel below sea level to the lowest point on earth and float in the Dead Sea, whose high concentration of salts and minerals contains unique healing properties, which, combined with the nutrient-filled mud found on its shores, creates one luxurious and healthy day.
The Qumran Caves
See the archaeological site where a Judean sect lived in relative isolation, copying and composing texts to be uncovered 2,000 years later. Hear the story of the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls and their significance for the study of both Judaism and Christianity.
Day 8 : Departure
Transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for your departure flight from the Holy Land bye for now!
