Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) – Darjeeling (88 km / 3 Hours Drive Approximately)

  Your trip commences with arrival at the New Jalpaiguri railway station or Bagdogra airport. Our representative will welcome you warmly and will escort you on to a scenic drive to Darjeeling. This hill town caters to the needs of all. You could be seeking tranquillity or are in pursuit of some adventure, Darjeeling has it everything to offer. It is also the most visited destination in India.
  
  Embark on a road trip where you will be surrounded by varieties of rhododendron, orchids and colourfully delicate butterflies.
  
  Upon reaching the hotel, check in and relax. The rest of the day will be at your will to explore.
  
  Spend the overnight comfortably at the hotel in Darjeeling.

• Day 2 : Full Day Local Sightseeing in Darjeeling

  The second day needs you to make an early start where you will drive 2590 feet above sea level to reach the Tiger Hill at 4 a.m. The sweeping views of sunrise cannot be missed from this point and the panoramic views of the colossal Kanchenjunga mountain ranges and other snow clad peaks are worth the early start.
  
  As you make your way back down, make a quick visit to the Ghoom Monastery and the Batasia Loop. Built in 1850, it is the oldest Tibetan Buddhist Monastery in Darjeeling. The Batasia Loop is a spiral track of the toy train built over a hilltop. The views from both these sightseeing spots are enchanting.
  
  On arriving at the hotel, devour a healthy breakfast and head out for some more sightseeing. Visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. It consists of a residential school for students who are learning mountaineering along with a museum that houses a variety of mountaineering artefacts.
  
  Then, visit the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park and the Tenzing Rock. The park is closed on Thursdays and is set at an elevation of 7,000 feet. It is the largest high altitude zoo in India. The Tenzing Rock is a large natural rock that people used to practice rock-climbing.
  
  Enjoy an outer view of the Chitrey Tea Garden before you make your way to the Japanese Temple and the Peace Pagoda. It showcases four avatars of Lord Buddha and the Pagoda radiates peace and non-violence. It sanitizes the land as well as the soul and mind of the people.
  
  Then, in the evening, go to Chowrasta and Mall Road for an evening stroll. The Chowrasta is a meeting square to shop and lounge. You can indulge into horse riding activities here.

• Day 4 : Half day local sightseeing in Pelling and Transfer to Gangtok (120 km / 5 Hours Drive Approximately)

  First, head to the Darap Valley. It offers a peaceful environment and has become popular owing to its sustainable tourism practices. Indulge in conversations with local people and learn about the village life in Sikkim.
  
  After you experience the life and cuisine of the people of Sikkim, visit the Rimbi waterfalls and the Kanchenjunga waterfalls. It is believed that these pristine cascades originates high up in the glaciers of Mount Kanchenjunga.
  
  Then, proceed to visit the Rock Garden and the Khecheopalri Lake. The Rock garden is an ideal spot for picnickers. It houses diverse species of plants, trees and flowers. The Khecheopalri Lake is a holy pilgrimage site and is alleged to fulfil one’s wishes. It is also a paradise for nature lovers and trekkers.
  
  After sightseeing, continue your journey to reach the capital city of Gangtok. Upon reaching Gangtok, check in at the hotel and enjoy some time strolling on the MG Marg. It is the town center and is studded with glittering shops, cafés, restaurants and bars on either sides of the road.
  Return to the hotel in the evening and stay overnight in Gangtok.

• Day 5 : Gangtok (Tsomgo Lake Excursion and Baba Mandir)

  He fifth day of this tour commences with a healthy breakfast at the hotel, followed by sightseeing in Gangtok.
  
  First, head to the Tsomgo Lake that requires a 3-hour drive to reach. Set at a height of 12,400 feet, the enticing beauty of this high-altitude glacial lake must be explored. If you visit the lake in summer, you will be enclosed by the blossom of flowers. The water body is considered sacred among the Sikkimese people.
  
  Then, head to the Baba Mandir. It is dedicated to Harbhajan Singh who was a Sentry of Punjab Regiment. It is said that he fell into a stream and drowned. He appeared in the dreams of his fellow mates and asked them to make a memorial on his name here. His soul is believed to be protecting the border.
  
  An optional tour to Nathula Pass can also be arranged for if you wish, at an extra cost. It connects India to China’s Tibet Autonomous Region. It is amongst the highest passes reachable by travellers via motorable road.
  
  Return back to the hotel in Gangtok for a comfortable overnight stay.

• Day 6 : Gangtok – Lachung (116 km / 6 Hours Drive Approximately)

  Have a stomach-filling breakfast and start your day early by checking out from the hotel in Gangtok and proceeding towards Lachung. It is a beautiful hamlet that is bounded by massive yet humbling snow-capped mountains. The drive to this small town will take you through dense forests, hot springs and meadows.
  
  En-route, visit Singhik viewpoint. It is known for its unparalleled beauty and offers the most outstanding sights of Mt. Siniolchu and Mt. Khangchendzonga. You can also see the confluence of Kanaka and Teesta rivers from there.
  
  Then, head to see the Seven Sisters Waterfall. They are seven different cascades that are harmoniously arranged on a wide craggy cliff. It is extremely captivating and the surrounding naturalistic splendour facilitates the visitors to savour the perfect beauty.
  Continue driving to Lachung then after. On arrival, check in at the hotel and enjoy some delicious local delicacy. Spend the overnight at the hotel in Lachung.

• Day 7 : Lachung – Yumthang Valley – Gangtok (24 km / 1 Hour Drive Approximately)

  Head out to visit the Yumthang Valley. It stands for ‘The Valley of Flowers’ and you will drive 11,800 to reach to this nature’s spectacle. Bask in the beauty of blooming flowers and spot billy goats, yaks and varieties of Rhododendron trees here. You may also visit the famous hot spring that is popular owing to its curative properties for skin diseases.
  
  Later, make your way to Gangtok through winding rugged mountain roads. On your way, cover a few sightseeing spots such as the Bheema and Twin Waterfalls.
