Day 1 : (TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK)
You will be transferred from Moi International Airport (MBA) (at an extra cost) and drive along Mombasa - Nairobi highway. After 100 kilometers, you will have a short break for coffee. After that, you will proceed to Tsavo East National Park, the largest park in Kenya which covers an area of 13,747 square kilometers.
Arriving at Bachuma Gate, you will begin your game drive. You will visit Aruba Dam, a water hole where animals come for water and then proceed with the game driving to Voi Wildlife Lodge. You will check in at around 13:00 and have lunch and relax until 16:00.
Then, you will enjoy another game drive until 18:30. The physical attractions include Tsavo River, Yatta Plateau, Mdanda Rock, Lugard Falls, Voi seasonal River, and Aruba Dam. You will get to see animals such as red elephants, rhinos, leopards, cheetah, and giraffes. After that, you will drive back to Voi Wildlife Lodge to have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 2 : (TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK)
You will wake up at around 05:30 and have a cup of coffee. You will start an early morning game drive before breakfast. This time, you will have a chance to see the big cats of Tsavo. After that, you will back to the lodge for the main breakfast at around 08:30, followed by a game en route to Tsavo West National Park.
You will begin a game drive en route to Severin Safari Camp. You will check-in at around 13:00 for lunch and relax until 16:00. After that, you will have another evening game drive where you will visit the rhino sanctuary and have a chance to see the black rhinos. Tsavo West National Park is a paradise for animals including elephants, giraffes, leopards, cheetah, zebras, and buffalos.
The landscape of Tsavo West National Park is grassland savanna with Acacia bushes, with Mzima Springs and Shetani Larva being the special attractions. The game drive goes on until 18:30 before driving back to the camp to have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 3 : (AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK)
You will wake up at around 06:00 for a full breakfast and enjoy a game drive en route to Mzima Springs, where you will have a chance to see hippos and crocodiles. The spring produces over one million liters of water per day. After that, you will drive to Chyulu gate, check-out from Tsavo West National Park, and drive to Amboseli with a convoy.
You will have a stopover at Shetani Larva for photo shoots and then proceed to Kimana gate in Amboseli 80 kilometers from Tsavo West. You will drive to Ol Tukai Lodge and arrive at around 13:00 in the lunch time. You can relax in the lodge until 16:00. After your relax time, you will have an evening game drive until 18:30, then back to Ol Tukai Lodge to have dinner and stay overnight.
Amboseli covers an area of 390 square kilometers with physical attractions such as grassland savannah, swamps, and a view of Mount Kilimanjaro. It’s also a home to elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, zebras, gnus, hyenas, buffalos, and birds.
Day 4 : (MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE)
You will wake up at 06:00 for a full breakfast and depart to Maasai Mara, driving through a distance of 450 kilometers with a stopover at the Great Rift Valley view point. You will have your lunch on the way. You will proceed to the gate and begin a game drive en route to Olumara Safari Camp to check-in. Maasai Mara National Reserve has an area of 1,584 square kilometers. It is one of the famous and most visited national reserves in Kenya.
The physical attractions include Mara River, Talek River, Loita hills, Serengeti plains, and the annual wild beast migration during July to September. The landscape is woodland and grassland savannah with acacia forests. Maasai Mara is famous for lions, elephants, leopards, cheetah, gazelles, rhinos, and hyenas. It’s also attractive for bird watchers and news analysts. You will enjoy your dinner and stay overnight at Olumara Tented Camp.
Day 5 : (MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE)
You will wake up at 05:30 for a cup of coffee, followed by an early morning game drive and back to the camp for a full breakfast. After breakfast, you will proceed for another game drive visiting Mara River to see hippos, crocodiles, and the migration point of the wild beasts (there’s another option of proceeding for a game drive with a packed lunch until evening). You will enjoy dinner and stay overnight at Olumara Tented Camp.
Day 6 : (LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK)
You will wake up at 06:00 for a full breakfast and then depart to Lake Nakuru National Park, driving through a distance of 280 kilometers and arrive early in the afternoon. You will begin a game drive en route to Lake Nakuru Lodge to check in and have lunch. Lake Nakuru is alkaline, a home to millions of flamingos and pelicans and covers an area of 202 square kilometers of which the 40 square kilometers is covered by the soda ash lake.
The physical attractions include the euphorbia trees and fever acacia forests with the landscape of a grassland savannah. Most animals seen here are white rhinos, lions, Rothschild giraffes, leopards, buffalos, and gazelles. At 16:00, you will start an evening game drive until 18:30 and then back to the lodge to have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 7 : (MOUNT KENYA)
You will wake up at 06:00 for a full breakfast and depart to Mount Kenya, driving through a distance of 260 kilometers with a stop over at Subukia Great Rift Valley view point, Thomson Falls, and the equator line. You will arrive late in the afternoon at Mountain Lodge (one of the treetop hotels) for check in and have lunch. You will also have a chance to see animals from the treetop hotel.
Mount Kenya is the highest mountain in Kenya with a height of 5,199 meters. It’s also a national park which covers an area of 877 square kilometers. The main activities include birds’ nature walk. While the physical attractions include tropical rain forests, waterfalls, highlands, shrub acacia, grasslands, rivers, and bamboo forests. Animals found in this area include elephants, buffalos, stripped hyenas, water bucks, leopards, and Bongo antelopes.
Mount Kenya also boasts of being a paradise for different species of birds. It has three peaks, namely Batian, Nelion, and Lenana. This place used to be a shrine for the Kikuyu tribe and they believed that their God lived there. You will enjoy dinner and stay overnight at the Mountain Lodge.
Day 8 : (NAIROBI - MOMBASA)
You will wake up at 06:00 for a full breakfast and depart to Nairobi, driving through a distance of 200 kilometers. You will arrive early in the afternoon and have your lunch at Carnivore Restaurant which is a five-star restaurant. The menu consists of grilled game meat and barbecue. You will then be transferred to the airport or railway and depart to Mombasa where you will meet the Diani Tours and Safaris' representative who will drive you to your hotel.
