Day 1 : 1St Feb ’18:- Ixb Bagdogra Airport Drop To Guwahati Airport To Bomdila

Arrive at Guwahati Airport (the arrival should be in the early morning) and proceed to Bomdila (340 kms/09-10 hrs) – the land of Monpa, Sherdukpen,Aka (Hruso), Miji and Bogun tribes sparshly scared over the region. On the way stop at Tippi orchid sanctuary and Nag mandir. On arrival check in at hotel. Overnight stay at Bomdila.
Day 2 : 2Nd Feb ’18:- Bomdila To Tawang

This morning drive to Tawang via Dirang , enroute visit Dirang Dzong – the five hundred year old village and hot water spring near Dirang. Then take your drive through the hilly terrain to Tawang (180 kms/08 hrs). On the way you will visit the Sella Lake and Jaswanthgarh, is a memorial to the brave soldiers who single handedly tried to get hold of the Chinese army during Chinese Aggression, 1962. On reaching Tawang, transferred to hotel. Overnight stay at Tawang.
Day 3 : 3Rd Feb ’18:- Tawang

Today explore in and around Tawang. Visit Tawang Monastery - The Gaden Namgyal Lhatse is located above 10,000 ft ASL, which was built in accordance with the wishes of 5th Dalai Lama in 1680 -81, Uni Gompa (woman monastery), Urgilling (birth place 6th Dalai Lama) and the War memorial. Overnight stay at Tawang.
Day 4 : 4Th Feb ’18:- Tawang To Dirang

Today proceed to Dirang Valley (165 kms/07 hrs) – it is a charming place dotted with apple orchards and sheep breeding centres. On way stop at Jung and visit beautiful Nuranang water Falls. On reaching dirang check in at your hotel. Evening walk around the dirang market or have option to walk near the kameng river which flows through dirang valley. Overnight stay at Dirang.
Day 5 : 5Th Feb ’18:- Dirang To Nameri

Drive to Nameri National Park (165kms/ 07hrs) - a biodiversity hotspot, the National Park & Tiger Reserves of Northeast India the park. Evening walk till the Jia Bhoreli River. Return back to your lodge. Overnight stay at Nameri eco camp.
Day 6 : 6Th Feb ’18:- Nameri To Shillong

Early morning you can trek inside the national park or option to enjoy soft rapid river rafting (at your own cost) mostly popular for birding, later proceed to Shillong (290 kms/07 hrs) – the capital and hill station of the state Meghalaya. Enroute visit Umium Lake – the largest manmade lake in Northeast India.On arrival at Shillong Check in at Your Hotel. Overnight stay at Shillong

Day 7 : 7Th Feb ’18:- Shillong To Cherrapunjee - Shillong

Proceed to Cherrapunjee: Enroute to Cherrapunjee (56 kms/2.30 hrs) visit Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak - to enjoy a bird’s eye view of Shillong city. At Cherrapunjee: Mawsmai Cave, Mawsmai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Nohkalikai Falls, Thankarang Park, and Koh Ramhah . Overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 8 : 8Th Feb ’18:- Shillong To Guwahati Airport Drop

After breakfast drive to Guwahati Airport (110 Km/03 Hrs) for onward destination.

We had booked 10 days all inclusive package for Darjeeling & Sikkim from Utkarsh Travels in June. I cannot say enough good things about this Utkarsh Travels! we decided to spend 2 weeks traveling through Sikkim and Darjeeling. I researched extensively for a travel company who could put together the perfect itinerary for us and I am so grateful that I did find Utkarsh travels. Mr Raj Chhettri helped me put together an itinerary that made the most sense given where we wanted to cover all or most of the key tourist spots in the area. Mr. Raj Chhettri set us up with the best drivers who were also tour guides in each city. I must have exchanged a hundred emails and phone calls during our tour, and he was always so responsive, gracious and informative. The hotels Raj Chhettri arranged for us were of top class in facility (Bed, Food, Wifi etc), location and brands and we were given enough details about our stay ahead of time so we knew what our experiences would be. Not to mention the Darjeeling Gorkha land upset during June/July, we were apprehensive to visit there as our son flight back to USA was scheduled in same week. Raj Chhettri was so diligent that he kept giving us update on the progress on a daily basis and flexible enough proactively to update our itinerary to avoid Darjeeling but yet to cover another city (which is safe) and also worth spending time. We had also requested to visit couple other local spots and Utkarsh travel was very kind to accommodate those in our trip at no extra cost. Mr Raj Chhettri (who is also apparently the owner) show up personally to thank us for our business a night before our flight back to Delhi, in Siliguri. Just for fun my wife asked where do we get the best Rasugulla, he was so gracious and also took us by surprise when he showed up with best Rasugulla within an hour back to hour hotel. Thats speak to the level of customer service Utkarsh Travel has to provide. Our confidence and experience in Utkarsh travel excelled further we were waiting at airport for departure and we overheard at-least 3-4 other groups came for vacation thru some other package tour companies and had a terrible experience that their travel agencies did not even pick their phone calls during the Darjeeling upset and as a result they were spending couple nights at airport. This was a truly customized trip of a lifetime for us, friends and family, and we will never forget the amazing times we shared together, all courtesy of this travel company. We are utterly grateful.
