Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : MANALI TO SARCHU

  The road trip from Manali to Leh starts. Drive up to Sarchu via the hilly terrains of Rohtang Pass Early morning after having your breakfast on the second day of your comfortable Leh Ladakh holiday and leave for Sarchu. It is a major halt point with tentedaccommodation in the Himalayas on the Leh-Manali Highway, on the boundary between Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh. The highway crosses some of the highest mountain passes in the world and promises to be one of the most memorable and scenic experiences of all time. Some important points that you’ll cross on your journey are Rohtang pass, Keylong, Jispa, and Baralacha. After a hectic day, check into your hotel at Sarchu and retire for the night.

  Travel Time (Manali to Sarchu via Baralacha): Approx. 8-10 hrs

• Day 2 : Set foot in the much awaited Leh on the third day of your Leh Ladakh tour.

  This is going to be the most important day on your Ladakh holiday.
  
  Proceed to Leh via Tanglang La and Lachulung La in the morning after having a hearty breakfast at your hotel. The route is very scenic and you
  
  ’ll start feeling the atmospheric changes as you go higher.
  
  On reaching Leh in the evening, take some time to relax and get used to the high altitudes. If you feel good enough you could also pay a visit to the Leh Market, Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa & Leh Gompa.
  
  Distance from Sarchu to Leh: 244 km
  
  Travel Time (Sarchu to Leh via Lachulung La): Approx. 6-7 hrs
  
  Tip: Leh is at located at a high altitude and it takes time for the body to adjust to sudden environment changes. Travelers are advised to drink plenty of water and take enough rest on reaching Leh to avoid acute mountain sickness.

• Day 3 : LEH NUBRA VALLEY VIA KHARDUNGLA

  Enchanting Nubra Valley awaits! Get ready for an adventurous joy ride. Today you’ll be heading to the most beautiful and famous place in the region in your Ladakh tour package. After having your breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via the highest motor able road in the world Khardung La. On reachingthe enchanting valley, get ready for some of the most fun activities of your Ladakh holiday.Start by exploring Deskit, Hunder Villages and enjoy a double-humped Camel Safari in Sand Dunes as you watch the sunset. You’ll spend the night at a hotel in Nubra Valley where you’ll also be served with a healthy and homely dinner,marking an end to the sixth day of your 10 day Leh Ladakh tour itinerary.

  Travel time (Leh to Nubra): 5 hrs
  
  Tip: Don’t forget to eat Maggi at the highest Maggi point of the world in Khardung La.

• Day 4 : NUBRA TO PANGONG LAKE

  Today after your breakfast you will visit the Disket Monastery.After that start your day tour of Pangong Lake via Shayok is scheduled for the itinerary.A huge statue of Buddha on top of it, the Diskit monastery is situated in the Nubra valley of Ladakh. Also known as Diskit Gompa, the Buddhist center is one of the oldest andlargest monasteries in Leh Ladakh. The Diskit monastery was founded by Changzem Tserab Zangpo in the 14th century,and at present stands atop a hill above the plains of Shayok river. The prime attraction of the Diskit monastery is 100 foot high Maitreya Buddha statue, which was inaugurated by the holy Dalai Lama. From the top of the Gompa, where the divine statue is settled, one can have a panoramic view of the Nubra valley. The Pangong Lake is around 135 kilometers away from Leh and situated at an elevation of 4,400 meters. En route, cross Chang la pass and drive through Durbuk and Tangtse village situated in the Changthang region of Ladakh.In the afternoon, explore the lake and its surroundings. • Day 5 : PANGONG LAKE TO LEH

  The enchanting sunrise will leave you mesmerized.
  
  On the fifth day of your customizable Leh Ladakh tour package wake up to one of the most beautiful sunrises that you’ve seen in your life.
  
  As the sunshine shimmers on the placid waters of Pangong Tso, your heart is sure to skip a beat. This is the highlight of your Ladakh holiday.
  
  Later in the day you will travel back to Leh. On the way back you can make a quick halt at Chang La for a piping hot cup of tea and delicious Maggi.
  
  Tip: Carry your camera along because the sights you’ll witness are worth capturing.

• Day 6 : Kargil – Leh (220Kms, 5 Hrs Drive

  After breakfast at the hotel, checkout & drive towards leh, enroute visit Lamayuru monastery, one of the most visited tourist attraction
  
  in Ladakh region. Continue your drive to SRINAGAR, enroute visit Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, Sangam, Spituk Monastery.The Sangam is the place called Nimu where the Zanskar River and Indus rivers merge At Sangam you can enjoy the view of confluence of two river
  
  (Indus & Zanskar River).Hall of Fame is a must visit for every patrioticIndian. It has been built by Indian army in memory of soldiers who lost
  
  their lives in Kargil war. Gurudwara Pather Sahib located at a distance of 40 kms from Leh, was constructed in 1571, in memory of Guru Nanak
  
  to commemorate his visit to this region. Magnetic Hill is the place where you will see your car, with its engine turned off, move upwards on a
  
  steep slope.It almost sounds unbelievable. .Dinner and overnight stay at Kargil.

• Day 7 : KARGIL SRINAGAR

  Today we proceed to Drass, here we visit Drass War Memorial, also known as Vijay Memorial – built in the memory of the martyr soldiers of the 1999 Kargil War. Then we visit Mulbekh Monastery. Further we take a photo stop of Tiger Hill and Tololing Peak and proceed to Sonmarg via Zozila Pass here we get mesmerized with the views of Drass Valley.

• Day 8 : SRINAGAR LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

  Today we enjoy a small Trek to Shankaracharya Hill followed by the iconic Shikara ride at Dal Lake. Later visit the Char Chinar Island andclick photographs in colourful Kashmiri outfits (at own cost). Further we enjoy Speed boat ride in Dal Lake. Further we visit we visit Nishat Garden – a terraced Mughal garden. Tall chinar trees and colourful flowers adorn the lush green landscape of this garden that also has several beautiful fountains. Followed by a visit to Shalimar Garden a Mughal garden which built by Mughal Emperor Jehangir for his beloved wife Nur Jahan, around 400 years back. In the evening we have some free time for shopping.
