Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Akagera

  You will warmly be welcomed by our professional guide at the airport. After a short transfer to the hotel for lunch the guide will be brief about you safari. Then drive to Akagera where you will have a game drive. Overnight at the Lodge.

• Day 2 : Lake Ihema

  After breakfast, you will have a morning Game drives in the park which will give you an opportunity to see different animals. After lunch, you will have a canoe ride on Lake Ihema you will see large number of hippo, Nile crocodile and different bird species. Over night at the Lodge.

• Day 3 : Lodge

  After breakfast transfer to Kinigi you will go through the beautiful terraced hillsides to the base of the awesome volcanoes, sometimes with as many as five peaks visible. You will reach in time for the late lunch. Overnight at the Lodge.

• Day 4 : Gorilla Tracking

  Go gorilla tracking in Parc National des Volcans. Gorilla tracking is an inspiring and wonderful adventure which one can’t miss. The Gorilla is a shy and peaceful animal and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact. Depending on how far the gorillas are and the weather, you can either spend with them an hour or take a full day with them. Overnight at the Lodge.

• Day 5 : Gisenyi

  After breakfast, you can either visit the golden monkeys or drive to Gisenyi and visit Ross Carr's orphanage and Lake Kivu or climb the Visoke/Muhavura volcanoes, or trek to Dian Fossey's grave, or visit the local school, community projects or walk to Lake Bulera. Overnight at the Lodge.

• Day 6 : Nyungwe Forest

  After breakfast, transfer to Nyungwe Forest you will have an opportunity to visit the old palace in Nyanza. Then drive past green hills of tea and the vast Nyungwe Forest. Overnight at the Lodge.

• Day 7 : Rwenzori Turaco

  Go on an escorted walk in search of the large groups of colobus monkeys and birds including the Rwenzori turaco. Or go chimp tracking. Picnic lunch. Return late afternoon. Overnight at the Lodge.

• Day 8 : Go Chimp Tracking

  Guided nature walk in the forest or go chimp tracking. Overnight at the Lodge.

• Day 9 : Transfer

  Leisurely drive back to Kigali. Incase you have time, you will go for a tour of the city including a visit to the market, a pottery project, handicraft shops, the Franco-Rwandan cultural centre and a genocide memorial. Transfer to the airport.
