Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : CHANDIGRAH - SHIMLA 120 KMS/ 3 HRS (Meet your guide and drve for tour)

Today morning we will drive from Chandigarh leaving behind traffic as we head into the mountains of Himachal Pradesh. As we enter the Shimla climate will change, and we can start feeling fresh mountain air. It will be a long drive on the winding roads of Himachal Pradesh till Narkanda.

Route map: Chandigarh - Shimla - Kufri - Naldehra - Mashobra
Distance to be covered 150 km in 6 hours
In the evening take rest in hotel and All over night stay in Shimla.

Day 2 : SHIMLA - KINNAUR (SANGLA) 250 KMS/8 HRS

We will visit Narkanda attractive skiing destination in Shimla district also famous for Hatu Peak second highest in Shimla district. Overnight stay will be in Sangla. You will enter Kinnaur district, you will pass through the gateway of Kinnaur, and beautiful rock cut formation welcoming adventure tourist. Deep valley will accompany us throughout the journey now. You can see many Indian army and ITBP Force settlements on this route. China border is close to Kinnaur district.

Day 3 : LAST VILLAGE OF INDIA AND BEAUTIFUL KINNER KAILASH 100 KMS/ 6 HRS

Sangla is a picturesque town in Baspa Valley with snow-capped mountain and apple orchards everywhere. Chitkul is the last inhabited village near Indo Tibet China border. We will drive to ReoKong Peo main town of Kinnaur district after visiting Chitkul. We will spend the night in the beautiful Kalpa village overlooking Kinnaur Kailash mountains.

Day 4 : KALPA TOWN - TABO VILLAGE

Labeled as worlds most treacherous roads on road signs by BRO or Border Road Organisation you can find the boards along the road and take a selfie. Roads will be winding and high with extreme valley exposure and some of the most beautiful you ever been. Keep hydration level high today as you will be gaining height today. You will be passing Nako loops, Nako Lake, Nako monastery, Pooh army base, Malling Nallah after Sumdo check post we finally enter Spiti Valley. We will halt for the night at Tabo Village.

Day 5 : TABO VILLAGE - PIN VALLEY

Tabo Monastery is the oldest in the Himalayas. Tabo village you will find caves and cliff-like structures which was used by the monks for meditation. Tabo Monastery is of 2nd importance to the Tholing Gompa Tibet. Also known as Ajanta of Himalayas it is close to 1000 years old now.

Dhankar Monastery located on a cliff is awe inspiring it overlooks Pin and Spiti River confluence. It offers bird's eye view of Spiti Valley. One hour trek from Dhankar village is the beautiful Dhankar Lake you need good endurance and stamina for this small trek.

Pin Valley located in Spiti Valley you will find the Pin river along the road throughout the journey. Kungri Monastery is Spiti second oldest monastery. Pin Valley National Park is famous for its wildlife and Natural beauty well known for its beauty among trekkers. Mudh village is the last destination in Pin Valley.

Day 6 : DRIVE TO KAZA - KYE MONASTERY - KIBBER - KAZA

Kaza is the main town Spiti valley on the banks of Spiti River. Indian oil operates here India's highest petrol pump ASL 12,250 feet. You can only refill fuel here.

Kye monastery is on top of a mountain overlooking the Spiti valley and a vast river bed. Kye monastery is the most famous monastery in Spiti Valley among tourist.

Kibber Village was once the highest motorable village in the world. It is famous for wildlife and amazing narrow valley hugging roads.

Distance to be covered 80 km in 6 hours

Day 7 : WORLDS HIGHEST LOCATION

We will drive to Langza famous for fossils found around the village and excellent for Astrophotography.

Hikkim Village has the highest post office in the world. Rinchen Chhering runs it since its inception in 1983. You can buy a postcard here and post it to your friends. It comes with a stamp saying from the highest post office in the world.

Komic now the highest motorable road in the world.

Day 8 : CHANDRATAL LAKE CAMPING

We will drive to Losar the last village of Spiti valley then Kunzum Pass to Chandratal Lake. Lake is famous for pristine beauty; it is a sacred place.
The lake of the moon located at ASL 14,100 feet popular for camping and treks is accessible during the summer season.

Day 9 : MANALI ROHTANG PASS

The final long stretch from Chandratal to Manali is the most beautiful part of the Road Trip. Surrounded by Mountains, crossing glacier feed rivers at Chatru, beautiful meadows. The road on this route will be unpaved mostly and difficult to drive; we will make slow progress. It is one of the most scenic drives in India.
