Day 1 : Arrival in Hanoi
On arrival at Hanoi's Noi Bai International airport, you will be greeted by our guide and transferred to your hotel. In the late afternoon, you will visit the peaceful West Lake (with lovers’ street Thanh Nien) and the sedate Tran Quoc Pagoda, visit Lake of the Restored Sword, Ngoc Son Temple, and enjoy a water puppet performance, a folk art tradition unique to northern Vietnam. Accommodation will be arranged at the hotel in Hanoi.
Day 2 : Hanoi City Tour - Halong Bay
The post-colonial capital city of Hanoi is a unique Asian city with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, numerous lakes, pagodas and temples. This full-day tour takes you around Hanoi's most interesting sights, including the Ho Chi Minh Complex, Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum (from outside) and Stilt House, the Presidential Palace, the One Pillar Pagoda nearby. You will also get to visit the Temple of Literature. In the afternoon, proceed to Halong Bay which was awarded as a natural heritage by UNESCO in 1994. This four-hour drive will show you the diversity of the North Vietnam villages and rice fields along the journey. Go further for shopping at the local night market and pearl shop, or visit the casino. Accommodation at hotel in Ha Long City will be arranged.
Day 3 : Halong Bay Cruise - Hanoi - Flight to Saigon
After breakfast at the hotel, take a 4 hours boat trip in Halong Bay to view the multi-shaped rocks and visit one of the most beautiful limestone grottos: Paradise Grotto (Thien Cung Grotto). Lunch will be served on boat with fresh seafood. Come back to Hanoi and take a flight to Saigon. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 4 : Cu Chi Tunnels - Saigon City Tour
After breakfast, travel to Cu Chi, 70 km to the Northwest of Ho Chi Minh. Cu Chi Tunnels consist of more than 200km of underground tunnels. This main axis system has many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters, and entrances to other tunnels. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what underground life during the U.S - Vietnam War. In the afternoon, you will be taken on a city tour of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) including the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Post Office, and Ben Thanh Market. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 5 : Ho Chi Minh - Mekong Delta
Have breakfast at the hotel at 08.00 am, after which our tour guide picks you up. After 1.5 hours we arrive in My Tho and take a motorboat in 20 minutes to Unicorn Island. Stop at a bee farm where you can taste honey tea. Then you get on a small rowboat to enjoy the fresh air along the canal and water coconut tree scenery. You will witness how local people make products from coconut trees like candy. Have lunch at the local restaurant. One of the boat’s stops during this trip is at a seasonable orchard that has many different types of tasty tropical fruits for your enjoyment. You can enjoy the fruits for free while checking out the folk music that is typical to only the people in Southern Vietnam. As your journey ends, you will return to My Tho by motorized boat and then travel to Can Tho. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.
Day 6 : Ho Chi Minh - Phnom Penh
Have your breakfast at the hotel, and then we transfer to Phnom Penh by Sorya Bus to Phnom Penh City. Arrive here and meet our guide and get transferred to check-in the hotel. In the afternoon, make a visit to Wat Phnom Pagoda, an ancient pagoda stand up on the hill, Independence Monument commemorates the end of Cambodia's ruled by France in 1953, Wat Unalom Pagoda, the oldest Buddhist foundation in the city, probably predating the abandonment of the capital at Angkor in the 15th century. The founding date is variously cited as 1422 and 1443. This wat is the home to the Buddhist patriarch. And then visit the Independence Monument, An Angkorian style tower, the inimitable place in the whole city, located in the heart of the capital. It was built in 1958 to Sybille's Cambodian Independence Day after winning back their independence from the French protectorate on the 9th of November 1953. The monument attracts many tourists for its peculiar look but a unique style distinguishes it from all the buildings in the city. It is also used as a memorial place dedicated to the Cambodian's patriot who died for the country and then we walk along the riverfront, the confluence of the Tonle Sap, Mekong and Bassac Rivers for taking fresh air. Return for an Overnight stay at Phnom Penh.
Day 7 : Phnom Penh City Tour
After breakfast the next morning, we’ll continue with our city tour to visit the National Museum built-in 1917-18, exclusively dedicated to Khmer arts. We will also visit the Royal Palace built in 1866 and the Silver Pagoda located within the Royal Palace compound, visit the Central Market (Phsar Thmei), this distinctive building is a city landmark & the busiest market in the city with a unique art deco version of a traditional market and the market constructed in 1935-37, during the French colonial period. Phsar Thmey has currently just completed its renovation to become the central section of the main market building displays, an amazing collection of gems, jewelry and souvenirs. You will then visit the infamous Tuol Sleng and Cheung EK, better known as the Killing Fields, where large numbers of people were killed and buried in mass graves. Overnight at Phnom Penh.
Day 8 : Phnom Penh - Siem Reap - Floating Village
Have Breakfast at your hotel and transfer to the Bus station and get your vehicle to Siem Reap, it takes around 6 hours to reach. Arrive and transfer directly to your selected hotel for refreshment. In the afternoon, visit Chong Kneas, a natural tourism spot and mangroves for hundreds of species of freshwater fishes and birds and decorated with ethnic stilted houses lined over the water surface up to the air. The villages are primarily Khmer and have about 3000 inhabitants between them, most of who live in stilted houses. The people depend largely on fishing and tourism for their incomes. We embark on the traditional wooden boat through the flooded forests of the Great Tonle Sap Lake, the habitat of many bird species it will bring you to Chong Kneas. This amazing floating village is built on 8 to 10 m high stilts. We then visit an island pagoda, a school and traditional stilt houses to interact with the local families. Return to Siem Reap for refreshment. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 9 : Siem Reap – Hindu Temple
Have breakfast at the hotel, Continue the tour to Angkor Thom covers, an area of 10 square km, enclosed by a wall and wide moats; the city includes many of Angkor's most popular sights. Enter by the monumental South Gate over a causeway lined on either side by statues of demons and gods, each carrying a giant naga. Continue to the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper Kings, former spaces for public ceremonies, both adorned with dramatic bas reliefs. Visit the ruined Baphuon, Royal Enclosure and Phimeanakas before continuing to the mysterious Bayon Temple. This temple is one of the most popular and compelling in Angkor, explore the galleries of beautifully preserved bas reliefs and ascend towards the narrow stairs to reach the central sanctuary, where you will find giant stone faces smiling enigmatically down at you from every angle.
Afternoon crowning jewel of Khmer architecture, Angkor Wat Temple is the national symbol and the highlight of any visit to Cambodia. The largest, best-preserved, and most religiously significant of the Angkor temples, Angkor impresses visitors both by its sheer scale and beautifully proportioned layout, as well as the delicate artistry of its carvings. To approach the temple, first cross the vast moat, continuing along a broad causeway lined with naga balustrades. As you enter the main building, ascend through a series of galleries and courtyard before reaching the central sanctuary, which offers beautiful views back over the causeway and across the surrounding countryside. Visit Ta Prohm Temple, one of the most popular attractions of Angkor. After a long day filled with explorations, return to your hotel for an overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 10 : Siem Reap - Bangkok [By Bus] - Fly Out
Breakfast at hotel, check out. We transfer to Siem Reap airport and take a flight back home. The amazing tour comes to an end!
