The palace museum houses collections of rare manuscripts, armoury, costumes, carpets and miniature paintings. Bika Ji chose a barren land called "Jungladesh" and shaped it into an impressive city, called Bikaner after the founder's name. Archeological surveys and excavations have established beyond doubt that civilization flourished here even before the Harappa period . Excavated statues, coins and carvings of stones and clay stands as testimony to this fact. Ever since the foundation of Bikaner till its accession into Indian Union in 1947 A.D. and there after it's integration in Rajasthan state in 30-3-1949 A.D., Bikaner has played a notable role in the history of the country.

The Junagarh fort is a unique illustration of composite culture. The fort reflects its architecture design; the first of the old one is the Rajput style of the sixteenth century, which was under the impact of the Gujarati and Mughal architectural designs. The rulers of Bikaner were in close association with the Mughal court, as such, they adopted the Mughal decorations, which reflect in the stucco, wall paintings and stone inlay works. The mosaic stone carving and lattice works reflect the Gujarati impact. The works relating to glass, lacquer and wooden ceiling, suggest various activities of the period. The confluence of Rajput, Mughal and the Gujarati architectural designs are clearly visible in Junagarh Fort, as a consequence it is one of the precious gems of Indian architecture. The most important looking and magnificent post medieval building, the Junagarh Fort has the finest lacquer work of rarity, reflecting to glorious past.
Camel Research Farm, Bikaner is a farm engaged in research on camels. It is located about 8 km from city in state of. This is one of its kind institute in India. Jaisalmer lies in the heart of Thar Desert surrounded by sand dunes. It would be just any desert town but looming over the city, and apparently rising out of the desert haze, is the spectacular golden Jaisalmer Fort. Even modern Jaisalmer has a medieval feel to it - 'Jharokhas' look down into cobbled streets, veiled women walk a pace behind their turbaned, strapping mustachioed men folk; undulating sand dunes and camel trains drink from an ancient water trough in the main market square. Hardly surprising that Jaisalmer retains an untouched aura, given its remote location and inaccessibility.

Jodhpur, Situated in the middle of the city, the Mehrangarh Fort is a living testimony of the military might of the Rajputs. With the strategically located cannons on the walls, the fort is spread over an area of 5 km at an altitude of about 125 meters. Thousands of tourists visit this fort every year to have a glimpse of the artillery system of the Rajput warriors. A bird eye view of the city from above the fort is fascinating. Umaid Bhawan the only 20th century built palace, was constructed to give employment to the famine struck population of Jodhpur made of sandstone & it took 16 years to complete. This majestic building is presently the residence of the former rulers with a part of it running as hotel and remaining part as a museum. Another example of Rajput glory is the Jaswant Thade, which is a shrine built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant II in 1899. A story goes that Maharaja Jaswant succumbed to injuries in this place while fighting the Mughal king Jahangir.
