Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Delhi to Shimla (385 Kms/10 Hrs):

  On arrival at the airport or the railway station, you will be warmly greeted and welcomed by the Footloose Holidays representative. After being picked up from one of the above mentioned locations, brace yourself for a beautiful journey, leading to one of the most famous hill stations of India, called Shimla, adorned by Shivalik range of mountains and mighty Sutlej river. En route visit Pinjore Gardens located at Ambala-Shimla Highway, built on Mughal architecture, a perfect summer getaway for the visitors who can enjoy these beautifully laid gardens with bountiful of flora and fauna. Another strongly recommended place to visit is Timber Trail, another tourist attraction which offers a cable car ride, giving you the picturesque view of the breathtaking beauty of Himalayas. On reaching Shimla, check-in at your pre-booked hotel and enjoy the sumptuous dinner and a relaxed overnight stay.

• Day 2 : Shimla

  Post a hearty breakfast, it is time to explore the state capital and we will begin our sightseeing tour with Kufri. Kufri is a small town, 20km ahead of Shimla known for its Himalayan National Park which provides a breathtaking view of the surroundings. You can also enjoy Pony and Yak Ride here. Post lunch begin with sightseeing of various places in and around Shimla. Feel awe-struck at the architectural beauty of these quaint structures like Vice Regal Lodge (1885) or Christ Church (1844). Gaiety Theatre of Shimla, one of the famous and oldest landmarks of Shimla must not be missed by the art lovers as this theatre has a lot to offer.
  
  Finally, come to the Scandal Point, the point between the Mall and the Ridge which has a very interesting tale behind its unusual name. Take a stroll at this place buzzing with activity. Visit the famous Lakkar Bazaar which caters for wooden artefacts and many mementoes to be carried as keepsake. Enjoy another memorable night at this amazing destination.

• Day 3 : Shimla to Manali (265 Kms/8 Hrs):

  It is time to say goodbye to Shimla as it is time to head for more beautiful destinations that await you. Post a sumptuous breakfast, check out from the hotel and depart for Manali, the most beautiful tourist destination which has a lot to offer. On the way to Manali, you must visit Pandho Dam built on Beas River boasting of picturesque view and Hanogi Mata Temple, known to hold the attention of the visitors because of its location at hill top. On arrival at Manali, check-in at your pre-booked hotel and enjoy your delicious dinner as well as the overnight stay, with a feeling of excitement and anticipation of the next day sightseeing tour.

• Day 4 : Manali (local sightseeing):

  Enjoy your morning meal at the hotel and set out sightseeing of places in and around Manali which give an overview into the culture of this hill town. You cannot help being mesmerised with temples like Hadimba Temple which is an abode of one of the most revered cave temple and Manu Temple dedicated to sage Manu. Enrich your sightseeing trip with a visit to Vashisht Bath, Van Vihar, Tibetan Monastery and Club House. Enjoy your evening at leisure by shopping at the local market Mall Road or enjoying Tibetan thupka (soup) and momos (snacks) which are abundantly available. Come back for dinner at the hotel and enjoy your relaxed overnight stay amidst the cedar forest and pine groves that surround this beautiful place.

• Day 5 : Rohtang Pass (100 Km round tour):

  It is time to visit another destination which is a high mountain pass called Rohtang Pass, connecting Kullu Valley to Lahaul and Spiti Valleys. Rohtang pass is 51km from Manali, situated at the height of 3978 mtrs. Well known for its unpredictable weather, this pass is the oldest and the most frequented pass in the region which also offers a panoramic view of the surroundings making one realise the grandeur of Himalayan ranges which are so clearly visible from the top. This pass is worth the visit, adding to so much fun with snow all around to give you a special visual treat. After coming back, sit back and enjoy the yummilicious food at the hotel and a good overnight sleep in the lap of refreshing backgrounds.

• Day 6 : Manali to Chandigarh (320 Kms/10 Hrs):

  Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel and cherish these last moments at this beautiful destination before you check out from the hotel to depart for Chandigarh, an architectural wonder in the form of the first planned city of the country. On the way, visit Kullu Vaishno Devi Temple, a beautiful temple located on the banks of river Beas and Kullu shawl weaving Industry where one can buy artistically crafted and weaved shawls. On arrival at Chandigarh, check-in at your pre-booked hotel where delicious dinner and a comfortable overnight stay await you.

• Day 7 : Chandigarh to Delhi (250 Kms/5 Hrs):

  Following day after the breakfast, it is time to check-out from the hotel. Before leaving the beautiful city, visit the Rose Garden, a garden dedicated to many species of rose. Visiting Rock Garden will leave you mesmerised at this awe-inspiring garden which displays art in an unusual fashion. The artist has laboriously worked with the waste products to create a unique and spellbinding art form. Situated nearby is Sukhna Lake lending peace and serenity to the city. Finally it is time to depart for Delhi, where you will be dropped at the Railway station / Airport so that you can continue with your journey to other destinations.
