1 night at a cultural village camp in rural Limpopo Province. Sleep in a thatched ‘rondawel hut’, built in the traditional African style!

No electricity (all refrigeration and lighting by gas & paraffin)

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : End of Previous Tour to the Rural Limpopo Cultural Village

  Transfer with your Ashtons guide from the last activity of your previous tour to the Cultural Village in rural Limpopo. Lunch followed by time to settle into camp and freshen up. Afternoon visit to the local community with your qualified local guide for a traditional dancing experience. Optional visits to specific members of the community such as one of the local chiefs and/or the ‘sangoma’ (optional extra; must be pre-booked). Dinner at the main lapa followed by time around the campfire where your local guide relates stories of the traditions and history of the local people. Comfortable night’s sleep on your ¾ beds

• Day 2 : Johannesburg Via the Panorama Route

  Early guided walk (2 hours) with your qualified local guide, visiting the natural hot springs and experiencing salt making done in the traditional way that dates back centuries. Breakfast at the central lapa before packing up and preparing for departure. Drive with your guide back to Johannesburg/ Pretoria along the Panorama Route (including God’s Window and Blyde River Canyon). Or fly back to Johannesburg from Nelspruit/Hoedspruit.
