Adventure/ Tribal Tour - Assam & Arunachal Pradesh (8 Nights / 9 Days)

Package Overview

This itinerary is to explore and experience the culture of the people of Arunachal Pradesh. This is a tribal tour itinerary and only guests interested in such a tour should be encouraged. Infrastructure development in the sector is very basic, including road conditions. Accommodation, food and other facilities are very basic with local flavor. Accommodation will be in local cottages, tourist lodges and guest houses and not in hotels at par with developed sector.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Tezpur - Itanagar

  Welcome on arrival at Tezpur Drive to Itanagar. Overnight in Itanagar.
• Day 2 : Itanagar - Ziro (150 Km / 6 Hrs)

  Enjoy half day sightseeing in Itanagar including Ganga Lake, Buddhist Temple & Jawaharlal Nehru Museum. Later drive to Ziro. En-route visit Nishi villages. Overnight in Ziro.

• Day 3 : Ziro

  Morning full day Ziro Villages. Visit Apatani villages, Tarin fish farm, Emporium, Museum and local market. Drive to old Ziro Village. Overnight in Ziro.
• Day 4 : Ziro - Daporijo (160 Km / 7 Hrs)

  Morning drive to Daporijo. Enroute visit Nishi as well as the Hill Miri Tribal villages like Raga, Tamin and Mori. Overnight in Daporijo.
• Day 5 : Daporijo - Along (160 Km / 7 Hrs)

  Morning visit Shiva Cave and Nayam Village. Visit the spectacular hanging rope bridge. Later drive to Along. En-route visit tribal villages Tapi, Tribin and Bam etc. Houses in this village are artistically built on the hill slop without using nails but only of bamboo and cane. Overnight in Along.
• Day 6 : Along

  Visit and witness the culture of the Adi tribe in various Adi villages. Also visit the Darka Village, one of the largest Adi (Gallong) tribal villages. Afternoon visit museum & emporium. Overnight in Along.
• Day 7 : Along - Passighat (80 Km / 2 Hrs)

  Morning drive to Passighat. In Passighat visit Museum, Cultural Centre & Mishmi tribal villages. Drive to Dr. Daying Ering Wildlife Sanctuary (20 km; safari / nature walk subject to availability & at additional expenses) famous for wild buffalo, tiger, sambar deer and wild duck & bounded by the Siang River. Overnight in Passighat.
• Day 8 : Passighat - Dibrugarh (6 Hrs)

  Morning proceed to Dibrugarh by ferry. Evening free for tea garden visits. Overnight in Dibrugarh.
• Day 9 : Departure

  In time departure to Dibrugarh Airport for onward journey.
