Porbandar is famous in India as well as abroad for the birth place of Mahatma Gandhi. Kirti Mandir or temple was constructed in the memory of Mahatma Gandhi and his ancestral home is situated near the temple. Oil painting of both Mahatma Gandhi and Kasturba is portrayed in the temple.

Barda Wildlife Sanctuary is located at 22 kms distance from city center of Porbandar and spread over Barda hills and both Parbandar and Jamnagar. Porbandar bird sanctuary is also located at the distance of 1 km from city centre. Here you will find many migratory birds such as Pelicans, Ducks and geese, Herons, Egrets, Bittern, Avocets, Coots, Cormorants, Flamingos, Grebes, Storks, Ibis, Cranes, Whistling Teals, Spoonbill, Gulls, Terns, Ruff, Red shanks, Jacanas, Indian roller etc.

Bharat Mandir is another attraction where many sculptures and pictures are made carved on the wall. Here is also Nehru Planetarium is located at the opposite side of the temple

Porbandar Beach, Miyani Beach, Huzur Palace, Sudama temple, Kirti temple, Harsidhhi temple and Brahma temple are most entertaining tourist spots in and around Porbandar.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Ahmedabad – Porbandar

  Morning you will be pick-up from Ahmedabad & drive by surface to Porbandar and upon arrival check in at your hotel. Later will visit the Kirti temple (birth place of Mahatma Gandhi). The House of Kasturabba Gandhi which is located just at the back of the Kirti temple, Gandhi museum
  
  Overnight : Hotel in Porbandar.
• Day 2 : Porbandar – Somnath (130 Kms, 2½ hrs drive)

  Today morning after breakfast you will be driven to Somanth and upon arrival Somnath check in at your hotel. Later after you will be taken for visit of Bhalka Tirth and in the evening visit Somnath Temple for Aarti and Darshan.
  
  Overnight : Hotel in Somnath.

• Day 3 : Somnath – Ahmedabad

  Morning after your breakfast you will be driven back to Ahmedabad
