Akkalkot Niwasi Shri Swami Samartha also known as Swami Samartha Maharaj, Swami Maharaj is a household name in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

Swami Samartha of Akkalkot is considered by many to be the very form of Sri Nrusimha Saraswati of Ganagapur. Occasionally, Swamy said that he was Nrusimha Bhan and that he was from kardalivan near Srisailam confirmed that he was Nrusimha Saraswati. Swamy took up numerous names at different places which made it hard to trace his travels. He died in 1878.

Ganagapura is a kshetra (place of pilgrimage) associated with Sri Narasimha Saraswati Swami, the second incarnation of Dattatreya. According to the book Shri GuruCharitra, he promised that he would abide forever at Ganagapura. In the morning, he would bathe at the confluence of the Bhima and Amarja rivers. At midday, he would go through the village asking for bhiksha (alms of food), and accept pooja offerings in the form of paduka (sandals) at the temple. Devotees believe that by bathing at the confluence, by begging (maadhukari) at at least five houses in Ganagapura, and by offering paduka at the temple, they can experience the living presence (darsana) of Sri Narasimha Saraswati Swami, and be freed from sins and granted wishes.

Tuljapur (Marathi:) is a city and a municipal council in Osmanabad district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is the administrative seat of Tuljapur taluka.

The town is home to a famous temple, Tulja Bhavani Temple, dedicated to the Hindu goddess Bhavani. The town received much importance in past centuries, since the temple enjoys a special association with the Bhonsale clan to which Chhatrapati Shivaji belonged. Goddess Bhavani was the family deity of the Bhonsale clan. The temple-town of Pandharapura, the Dharashiv caves, and the fort of Naldurg all lie within easy reach.   Pandharpur - reach 12.00pm, Darshan, Lunch at Sabera Restaurant(Gujrathi Thali-Unlimited), departure at 2-3 pm.
  Akklakot - Reach at 5 to 6 pm, Palakhi Sohala, Mahaprasad. Morning 4.00am - Aarti.

• Day 2 : Akkalkot

  Akklakot - Morning 4.00am - Aarti.
  Gandgapur - has to go by local Vehicle. And come back by 11.00AM.
  Tuljapur Darshan - Reach 2.00pm, Darshan, Puranpoli jevan.
  Return to Pune by 4.00 p m, return at 9-10 pm.
