After spending a couple of days to explore the island of Corfu and its Old fortress which is an UNESCO World Heritage site, take an easy 45 minutes ferry boat sail to the Albanian harbor of Saranda, and explore Albania with us.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 :

Our representative will meet you at arrivals in Saranda harbor, at 9:00am which is the arrival time of the first ferry from Corfu.
Our first visit in Albania will be at Butrinti Archaeological park which is an UNESCO World heritage site. Butrinti, which started as Greek colony in the VII century bc, is one the best archaeological sites in Albania (check detailed program) In the second part of the day we drive to Gjirokastra. On the way we will visit the Blue Eye water springs park. In the afternoon we will check in our traditional hotel in Gjirokastra. Evening at leisure.
Day 2 :

After breakfast we will explore Gjirokastra UNESCO World heritage town. Our visit in Gjirokastra will include the XIV century fortress and the old stone-made town and bazaar.
In the second part of the day we will drive towards Berat. On the way we will make a pleasant stop in a local winery. The first visit in Berat will in the IV century BC fortress where we will visit the old Christian Orthodox Cathedral and the Onufry Byzantine Icon’s gallery. In the afternoon we will check in our accommodation in the old part of the town of Berat. Evening at leisure.
Day 3 :

In the first part of the day we will explore the old Medieval center of the old town of Berat.(check detailed program). Next we drive towards the town of Durres which started as a Greek colony in the VII century bc, where we will visit the Archaeological museum, one of the best in the country. Next visit will be at the Roman amphitheater of Durres (II CENTURY AD) where we will explore one of the biggest Roman amphitheater in the Balkans.
In the afternoon we will drive to Tirana where we will check in hotel located near the center of of the town. Evening at leisure to explore Tirana on your own.
Day 4 :

After breakfast we will visit the center of Tirana we will visit the old Justinina fortress and the Ethem Bej mosque on the main square, next to the clock tower which is the simbol of the town. Next we drive towards the historical town of Kruja where we will visit the Othoman fortress located on a hill overlooking the town, where we will visit the Scenderbeg museum and the Ethnographic museum.(check detailed program) Next we drive towards the town of Shkodra where our first visit will be in the IV CENTURY BC fortress, and the old town of Shkodra. In the afternoon we will check in our accommodation.
Day 5 :

After breakfast we drive towards Ardenica Monastery, one of the oldest and best preserved Christian Orthodox monasteries in Albania, famous for its church with wooden carved altar and it’s walls covered in colorful frescoes. Next we will visit the archaeological park of Apolonia, which was one of the biggest Greek colonies in the Adriatic coast, founded in the VII century BC.
Day 6 :

After breakfast we will drive through Llogara National park, on a scenic drive towards the Ionian sea coast. In village of Dhermi we will visit the Old church of Virgin Merry located on the hill overlooking the old village of Dhermi. Next visit will be at Gjipe canyon overlooking the beach of Gjipe bay (photo).
Next we will drive towards Panormi Bay (known as Porto Palermo bay) where we will visit the Ali Pasha fortress (XIX CENTURY) a rare example of french military architecture in Albania.
In the early afternoon we arrive at the harbor of Saranda where you will take the ferry to Corfu.
