Package Overview

Lemurs, Baobabs and Spiny forest is a trip of 14 days and 13 nights including the rainforest of Madagascar, home of the BIGGEST LEMURS in the WORLD.
Encountering the famous Indri Indri and Aye Ayeis ideal for honeymooners and nature lovers. This journey is a combination of road and boat trips through the Pangalanes channel and a beach stay in SAINTE MARIE Island.
This trip will show you the rainforest of Madagascar and the natural home of several and endemic fauna and flora.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival - Antananarivo

  Arrival in Antananarivo. Meet and greet, then transfer to your hotel.
  Accommodation includes breakfast.

• Day 2 : Antananarivo - Andasibe

  After breakfast, drive eastward to Andasibe through the typical landscape of the highland and the eastern rainforest.
  On the way, stop at the Peyreiras reptiles farm for observing different endemic species of chameleons, lizards, geckoes, frogs.
  Arrive in Andasibe by the end of the morning. If time permits, visit the Mitsinjo reserve. Evening walk to spot nocturnal species such as the mouse lemurs, chameleons, frogs…... Accommodation includes breakfast.

• Day 3 : Andasibe, Analamazaotra Reserve

  Breakfast at the hotel, then morning walk within the Analamazaotra reserve to spot the largest lemurs of Madagascar Indri Indri, which are the largest living lemurs. Other lemur species might be spotted during the walk including the grey bamboo lemur, the common brown lemur as well as different endemic species of birds. Back to the hotel. In the afternoon, visit the Vakona private reserve including its small lemur island.

• Day 4 : Andasibe - Manambato - Akan’ny Nofy

  Breakfast at the hotel. Then continue to drive eastward to Manambato through the eastern rainforest with a landscape dominated by the Traveller palm or “Ravinala”. Arrive at Manambato. Boat transfer to Akanin’nyNofy. Get yourself comfortable at the hotel. Accommodation includes breakfast.
  
  HOTEL:Palmarium Hotel or equivalent

• Day 5 : Akanin’ny Nofy

  Day free at leisure. Possibility to visit the Palmarium reserve or the local villages. In the evening, nocturnal visit to discover the smallest lemurs of Madagascar: AYE AYE.

• Day 6 : Akanin’ny Nofy - Tamatave

  Breakfast at the hotel. Morning at leisure.
  Early afternoon, boat transfer to Tamatave through the Pangalanes channel. Arrive at the fluvial port. If time permits, city tour of Tamatave before settling in your hotel.
  Accommodation includes breakfast.
  
  HOTEL:Java hotel or similar
• Day 7 : Tamatave - Sainte Marie

  Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport and fly to Sainte Marie (depending on your flight schedule). Meet at the airport and transfer to your hotel.
  Accommodation on Half Board basis.

• Day 8 : Sainte Marie

  Day free at leisure.
• Day 9 : Sainte Marie

  Day free at leisure.
• Day 10 : Sainte Marie

  Day free at leisure.
• Day 11 : Ainte Marie - Antananarivo - Out

  Breakfast at the hotel. Morning at leisure. Transfer to the airport in the afternoon.
