ABOUT THE AMARANTH YATRA
START AT 02 JULY 2015
The journey of Amaranth is of 50 km from Pahalgam, out of which 35 km from Chanderwari has to be covered on foot, is believed to be the holiest of Hindu shrines. Amaranth Yatra is an annual pilgrimage to Pahalgam Region of Anantnag District in Jammu Kashmir . The Yatra begins on July First week and ends on RakshaBandhan. The official yatra is only for a fortnight in Last June/July/August. Now the Jammu Kashmir Govt has started
CLIMATE
The climatic conditions are very uncertain . Rain or snowfall may take place at any time or place during the Yatra .
THINGS TO CARRY FOR THE YATRA
You should be mentally and physically fit to go for the trip as the journey includes trekking at a height of 1, 6000 ft. You should get yourself medically tested before the journey and forward that certificate to the registering authority designated for your area of residence.
You should carry lots of heavy woolens like jackets, sweaters, woolen thermal body warmers, trousers, monkey caps, mufflers, blankets and any other warm items. Among other items you should carry sleeping bags, blankets, windcheaters, raincoats, waterproof shoes with sufficient grips, tents, torch with sufficient batteries and supporting sticks.Air, Train, Chopper fair.
On the way of Yatra accommodation, food is not include.
Expenses of personal nature such as Entrance Fee/ Pony / Palki / Pithu /Tent/Shikara ride/Coli / Laundry/Chopper ·
Due to local rules and restrictions Visit to Chandanwari in Pahalgam,our vechial are not allowed.
Any Kind Drinks (Alcoholic, Mineral, Aerated)
Guide fee, camera fee, Soft or Hard drinks, Starters.
Medical & Travel insurance
Additional costs due to flight or Train cancellation, road blocks etc.
