Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Guwahati - Bhalukpong

  After breakfast visit the Balaji temple and drive to Bhalukpong (250kms/6 hrs drive approx). Bhalukpong is the border of the states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh is a place of enthralling scenic beauty. The sparkling river Jia Bharali which passes through Bhalukpong is an adventure lover’s paradise. By the side of the river is the Nameri National Park which falls under Project Tiger. Overnight will be atTourist Lodge at Nameri(bhalukpong).

• Day 2 : Bhalukpong - Nameri National Park Excursion

  Early morning nature walk to the interiors of Nameri, escorted by a naturalist and forest guard. Later in the day, go rafting in the Jia-Bhoroli River. Other times at leisure or you may go birdwatching. Overnight at Bhalukpong.

• Day 3 : Bhalukpong To Dirang

  At morning transfer to Dirang (200km 7hrs). En-route visit Tipi Orchidarium, a glass house with over 7500 Orchids. Overnight stay in Hotel in Dirang.

• Day 4 : Dirang To Tawang

  At morning visit the Kiwi & Apple Gardens. After viewing the beautiful valley of Dirang overlooking the river and inhabited by colorful tribes, proceed towards the Sela Pass (13703 ft) spend some lovely times by the paradise lake. Reaching Tawang (143 km, 7hrs) check in at Hotel Overnight at Tawang.

• Day 5 : Tawang Local Sightseeing

  After breakfast visit of 400 years (17th century) old Tawang Monastery which is the second largest monastery in the world after Potala Palace in Tibet. The building is about 113 feet longand 80 feet wide and houses valuable antiquities, books and manuscripts-handwritten and printed. Later visit Tawang War Memorial, a 40 foot high multi-hued memorial, has a structure constructed in stupa design. Dedicated to the martyrs of Sino-Indo War held in 1962, this memorial is nestled among beautiful peaks, which overlooks the Tawang-Chu valley. Rest of the day free to stroll round the streets of the town. Overnight in Tawang.

• Day 6 : Tawang To Bomdila

  Early morning, drive to Jang to get a breath taking view of waterfalls. Pay homage at the Jashwant Garh Indo Chinese War Memorial and down hill drive (185km, 7hrs) to Bomdila. Overnight at Hotel at Bomdila.

• Day 7 : Bomdila To Guwahati

  After breakfast check out of the hotel and transfer to Guwahati. On arrival check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at Guwahati.

  After breakfast checkout from hotel, visit Kamakhya temple, Navagraha temple, Umananda temple, Balaji Temple, State Zoo. Evening get transfer to Guwahati Airport/ Rly station for onward journey.
