About The Tour: A 12 Night / 13Days classical jeep safari. Manali brings you the spectacular trans Himalayan safari delhi to leh via some of the region with most exiting, breathing, high mountain passes, snow capped peaks, landscapes. It has been proved to be the very best travel plan to the high altitude desert of the Indian Himalayas.Rates do not include any air/train fare.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Chandigarh to Manali (325kms)

  On Arrival in chandigarh our Re-Presentative will meet you and Proceed to Manali by car 8/9 hour and check in hotel . evening visit manali Mall road and over night stay at Manali.
• Day 2 : Manali City Tour

  After Breakfast visit to Hadimba Temple,Mannu Temple,Vashishat Temple, tibiten monastery and excursion to Naggar castle and Rorich art Gallery. O/N at Hotel.

• Day 3 : Manali - Kelong (115Kms/3350mts)

  Early this morning drive over the Rohtang pass(3980mts) to kelong.  Evening visit to Kardang Monestery(3500m).O/N at Hotel.

• Day 4 : Kelong-Sarchu (114Kms)

  After breakfast we leave for Sarchu on the border between Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir. Here you can see the nomadic Gaddi people and an army outpost. On our way we stop at Barchala Pass (4891 m). At Barchala, which means " a pass with cross roads," the roads from Ladakh, Zanskar, Lahaul and Spiti intersect. Stay overnight at tents in Sarchu.
• Day 5 : Sarchu – Leh (220Kms)

  After early breakfast leave for Leh en-route crossing Nakeela and Tanglang-La Pass (5350mts) the second highest  road in the world and Lachlang-La (5065mts). Break for lunch at Pang and
  then drive on towards Leh passing through Skyangchu Thang (a vast plateau stretching for 42 kms) and driving through the upper Indus Valley. Reach Leh by evening. O/N Hotel in Leh.

• Day 6 : Leh local sightseeing (Shey – Thiksey – Hemis –Stok Place - Shanti Stupa)

  After leisurely breakfast, visit Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, Hemis Monastery & Stok Palace Museum. Afternoon visit Shanti Stupa. Overnight at the hotel.
• Day 7 : Leh - Nubra Valley

  After breakfast leave for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardong-la (alt: 18,380 ft). After descending from the pass, drive on for sightseeing of Sumoor area. Later check into a fixed camp in the same area or drive across to Deskit for overnight stay in a camp.

• Day 8 : Nubra Valley - Leh

  In the morning visit / explore Deskit, Hundar and the Sand Dunes where you can enjoy a short camel safari using the double-humped Bactrian camel found here (optional on direct payment). Later drive back to Leh, reaching in the late afternoon / evening. Overnight at the hotel.
• Day 9 : Leh - Pangong Lake excursion - Leh

  Full day excursion to Pangong Lake (approx. 300 kms round trip, located on the Indo-China Border), enroute crossing the Chang-la pass (alt: 17370 ft.). After sightseeing around the lake, drive back to Leh reaching in the late afternoon / evening. Overnight in hotel. Overnight in hotel.

• Day 10 : Leh - Alchi / Uleytokpo: (70 kms.)

  After leisurely breakfast, leave for Alchi / Uleytokpo on the first leg of the journey to Kargil and Srinagar. On the way visit Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Point, Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers) and then the 11th century Alchi Choskor, oldest surviving monastic complex famous for its wall frescoes and architecture - a UNESCO listed heritage site. Overnight in fixed camp / resort at Uleytokpo.
• Day 11 : Uleytokpo – Lamayuru - Kargil (135 kms.)

  After breakfast leave for Kargil. On the way you can visit the dramatically located Lamayuru monastery and the adjoining “Moonland” hills. Later drive towards Kargil enroute viewing the 9-Mtrs. tall rock sculpture of the Maitreya Buddha at Mulbek (7th –8th century AD). Overnight in hotel at Kargil.
• Day 12 : Kargil – Sonamarg - Srinagar (205kms)

  Early departure for Srinagar driving through Drass (famous as the second coldest inhabited place in the world) and crossing the Zoji-la Pass (11,500-ft. / 3,505 m) to reach Sonamarg from where it’s a smooth 2-hour drive to Srinagar through the beautiful Kashmir countryside. Overnight at Srinagar.
• Day 13 : Departure Srinagar 

  Early morning transfer to the airport for taking the flight back home.
  Tour ends. but sweet memories always remain.
