Day 1 : Arrive – Pakbeng (Laos) by Shompoo Cruises

06.30am: We are Leaving from Hotel to Chiangkhong Thailand Border
07.30am: Arrive At the Border Processing Your Visa to Laos and Cross to Houysai Laos Border By Thailand and Laos’s Coaches.
08.30am: Our Guide Will Wait with a Shompoo Cruise Sign in Front of the Lao Immigration Office. After Having Done the Visa Procedure, We Will Go to the Houay Xay Boat Pier By Tuk Tuk. Then, You Will Embark for the First Time On One of Our Boat for the Mekong Downstream Cruise. On the Way, the Boat Will Take Its First Stop in Pak Tha, to have Necessary Boat Documents Signed. the Second Stop Will Be to Visit a Hill Tribe Village Along the Mekong River. Our Guide Will Explain the Way of Living and the Origins of These Rural Populations. Lunch is Served On Board. During the Afternoon, Free and Relaxing Time By Tasting Local Flavors. the Boat Will Arrive in Pakbeng Before Sunset. Dinner Will Be Served At the Hotel. 07:30 Am: Return By Tuk-tuk and Visit Pakbeng’s Oldest Temple, Vat Si Chom Cheng.

Day 3 : Luang Prabang city – Palace – Temples Tour

08.00am: Your Minivan Tour Will Start with a Visit to the Morning Market, a Lively Street Where Locals Shop for Everything from Colorful Vegetables and Exotic Fruits to Live Frogs. from the Energy of the Market, You’ll Step Into the Serene Calm of One of the City’s Most Elaborate Monasteries, Wat Mai, and Then to the Former King’s Palace, Where You’ll Discover the History and Present Life of Luang Prabang. from There, We Will Head to the Ancient Wat Xieng Thong Temple, Which Features a Spectacular Low Sweeping Roof. It’s Luang Prabang’s Most Distinctive and Recognized Monastery. After Lunch We’ll Visit Either the Uxo Visitor’s Centre, Which Documents the Devastation that Laos Suffered During the Second Indochina War, or Peruse Local Crafts At Ock Pop Tok, Which Brings the Fascinating World of Traditional Lao Handicrafts Alive for Guests. Next, We’ll Explore the 16th Century Wat Visoun Temple, Known for Its Enormous Stupa and Its Collection of Old Gilded Buddhas. We’ll Finish the Day Visiting the Traditional Art and Ethnology Centre (taec), the Only Independent Resource Center in Laos Dedicated to the Country’s Many and Diverse Ethnic Groups.

08.00am: Our Guide Will Pick Up You from Hotel and Bring You to Alms Giving Ceremony Highlights. as the Sun Rises in Luang Prabang Around 200 Buddhist Monks Depart from Their Various Temples to Gather Their Daily Meal. the Tradition of Alms Gathering Dates Back to the 14th Century, Yet Still Today Locals Wake Early to Prepare the Food for the Monks and Wait Quietly By the Roadside to Give Their Gifts. this Daily Ceremony is Both Peaceful and Spiritual and Gives You a Wonderful Opportunity to Experience An Ancient Lao Tradition. (if You Do Wish to Make An Offering, They Should Inform to Our Guide to Help You to Arrange the Offering Locally (sticky Rice & Dry Food) and Related Stuff (mat/ Scarf) and Pay Locally. if You Do Not Wish to Make An Offering, They Just Keep An Appropriate Distance and Observe the Ritual in Silence.)
