Odisha (formerly Orissa), an eastern Indian state on the Bay of Bengal, is known for its tribal cultures and its many ancient Hindu temples. The capital, Bhubaneswar, is home to hundreds of temples, notably the Nagara-style Mukteswar and the Lingaraj, both built in the 11th century and set around sacred Bindusagar Lake. The Odisha State Museum is dedicated to the area’s indigenous history.
On arrival at Bhubaneswar airport / railway station transfer to hotel. Later if time permit half day sightseeing of famous city temples including Rajarani, Parsurameswar,Mukteswar ( Gem of Orissan architecture ),& Lingaraj ( it is the biggest temple in Bhubaneswar). Overnight at Bhubaneswar.
Morning visit to Khandagiri & Udaigiri Jain caves ( oldest rock cut caves, the caves are reminiscent of influence of Buddhism and Jainism in Orissa ). Then drive to Puri enroute visit Dhauli ( Budhist stupa/ peace pagoda ) , Pipli ( the appliqué work village ). And visit the Sun temple (one of the world famous heritage site & famously known as Black Pagoda ). Enroute visit to Ramchandi temple & Chandrabhaga beach (one of the finest beaches with a long stretch of clean sands & the beach has its own lovely serenity ). Return back to Puri. Relax on the golden beach of puri. Overnight at Puri.
Morning drive to Chilika lake at Barkul ( the largest Ramsar site of Asia and famous for its migratory birds coming from distance places ). Take the boat cruise to visit the temple island, birds island at Nalabana. Relax at the Lake side cottage. Overnight at Chilika.
Morning after breakfast drive to Tapta pani en route visit Taratarini temple (the legendary temple on the hillock). Also visit Silk city Barhampur to find the SILK Saree on your own choice. Later proceed to Taptapani. Overnight at the Hill Resort
Morning have the sulpheric bath at Taptapani then post breakfast you can visit Tibetian settlement at Chandragiri to explore the new world amidist of natural forest. Chandragiri with rare scenic beauty, which presents a picturesque landscape, is a paradise for all nature lovers. Surrounded by luxuriant tropical forest, gurgling rivers, exquisite mountain slopes and roaring hilltops this exotic place of Orissa is widely known for the Tibetan refugee colony, where immigrants from Tibet have been rehabilitated. Bestowed with bounties of nature, this place is famous for seasonal fruits, Tibetan woolen garments, carpets and dogs of various breeds. The large scale horticulture plantations as well as cultural activities of the Tibetan refugees make this place more colourful and attractive. This hillside settlement of Tibetans, which is also an ideal health resort, attracts both domestic and foreign tourists from far and wide for its pleasant ambience.Visit the Padmasambhavvihar and University. Have lunch over their and Later drive back to Gopalpur on Sea.Overnight stay at hotel.
Morning transfer from hotel to Railway station for onwards journey.
