Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Bagdogra/NJP to Gangtok 125 kms 4 hours approx

  Assistance at the airport/railway station on arrival and drive to Gangtok.
  GANGTOK:
  At an altitude of 1750m, Gangtok became the state capital in the mid 19th century and has undergone rapid development since then. The downtown area is dominated by huge government buildings decorated with traditional Buddhist symbols. Gangtok is also a resting ground for people traveling to North Sikkim. Surrounded by Monasteries and Orchids, Gangtok is truly a travellers delight. Overnight at hotel.
• Day 2 :   Gangtok

  Breakfast at the hotel and full day excursion to Changu Lake which is 35 Kms from Gangtok at an altitude of 12,400 feet. The lake derives its waters from melting snows off the surrounding mountains Legends say that lamas could forecast the future by studying the color of the lake’s waters. Also visit Baba Mandir .Overnight at hotel.
• Day 3 : Gangtok - Lachung 123 kms 6 hours approx.

  Breakfast at the hotel in Gangtok and drive to Lachung enroute visiting villages and water falls,Overnight at hotel.
• Day 4 : Lachung - Yumthang - Lachung

  Breakfast at the hotel and excursion to Yumthang Valley & back. - The valley of flowers.  Flora, Fauna, Rhododendrons and Primulas and found in abundance.  Yumthang is the summer grazing grounds of the Yaks.  On the way back visit the Sulphur Hot Spring, considered to have medicinal properties. Overnight at hotel

• Day 5 : Lachung - Gangtok

  Breakfast at the hotel and drive back to Gangtok enroute visit Twin Falls, Bhim Nala etc.,Overnight at hotel in Gangtok.
• Day 6 : Gangtok Local Sightseeing - Pelling (117 Kms / 5 hrs)

  This morning after breakfast transfer to Darjeeling . Overnight stay at Pelling.
• Day 7 : Pelling Sightseeing

  After breakfast start for full day sightseeing (Starts 8:30 AM - 4: 30 PM) visit Kanchenjunga waterfalls, Rimbi waterfalls & Khecheopalri Lake. After lunch visit Changey Waterfalls, Singshore Bridge, Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdantse Palace Ruins and Bird Sanctuary. Overnight stay at Pelling.

• Day 8 : Pelling - Darjeeling (117 kms /5 hrs)

  This morning after breakfast transfer to Darjeeling (6,710 ft.), Enjoy scenic beauty of Rangeet River Valley on the way. On arrival check-in to your hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

• Day 9 : Darjeeling Sightseeing

  Early morning at 4:00 am drive to Tiger hill to watch the sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga (28,208 ft. Worlds 3rd highest peak), on your way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outer view), Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda (4 hrs from 9.00 to 13.00 hrs). Free evening. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

• Day 10 : Darjeeling - Kalimpong 77 kms / 3 hours approx.

  KALIMPONG
  At an altitude of 1250m, Kalimpong’s location is ideal for a pleasant, relaxed getaway. Its clement weather has made Kalimpong’s orchids and gladiole well renowned. Up to the early 1700s, the Kalimpong area was part of the Sikkim raja’s domain. In the early 18th century, the Bhutan king also took it over. In 1865, after the Anglo-Bhutan War , it was annexed to Darjeeling. Scottish Missionaries came here in the late 1800s. The town thrived as a wool trading center with Tibet till 1950s. Today it’s a quiet hill resort and a haven for retired people.
  Afternoon proceed for city tour visiting Zang Dog Palri Fo Brang Monastery, Tharpa Choling Monastery, Thongsa Gumpa and flower nurseries.Overnight at hotel.
• Day 11 : Kalimpong - Bagdogra/NJP 80 kms 3 hours approx.

  Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Bagdogra/NJP in time for flight/train to onward destination
