Amboseli National Park lies North West of Mt. Kilimanjaro, on the border with Tanzania. Large concentrations of wildlife occur here in the dry season, making Amboseli a popular touristic destination. The Park embodies five main wildlife habitats which include the open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush land, swamps and marshland. There is also a temporary lake, Lake Amboseli, that floods during years of heavy rainfall. The Amboseli is famous for its big game and its great scenic beauty. The landscape is dominated by Mount Kilimanjaro and massive numbers of elephants, approximately one thousand elephants. Also, its snowcapped summit dominates the landscape and on a clear day it is easily visible during early mornings and the late afternoons. This makes it a perfect spot for photograph taking.

The Tsavo West and Tsavo East National Parks form one of the largest National Parks in the world and covers a massive 4% of Kenya’s total land. Tsavo West is the most famous of the two and is painted on a sprawling canvas of endless skies, hills, liquid lava flows, rivers, sparkling oases and a cloud shadowed African savannah. The magic Mzima Springs is fed by over 250 million litres of fresh water gushing from the lava flows of the Chyulu Hills. It provides a continuous supply of water to Mombasa town. The park is famous for the numerous prides of maneless lions that patrol the plains and predate on the herbivore herds. It offers some of the most magnificent fame viewing in the world with vast herds of dust-red elephant, hippo, giant crocodile and a wide variety of bird life.

Shetani lava flows got its name from molten lava that spewed from the earth 200 years ago. The fiery fury was thought by the local people to be the work of the devil, hence the name 'Shetani', which means 'Devil' in Swahili. The glorious Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary also has a growing population of the endangered black rhino which was a victim of poaching in the early 1960s. Lake Jipe also offers a memorable experience as it is abundant with aquatic life. Boat rides are a sure way to blow your mind away as you sail through the clear waters watching different species of fish and aquatic animals enjoy the suns rays penetrating through the water. Bird watching is also a major activity in the park.
