The Lower North Circle Tour will connect the historic city of Delhi to other centers in northwest India that are of religious and historic significance such as Amritsar-Dharamsala-Manali-Shimla. The Golden Temple in Amritsar is the holiest place of the Sikh religion. Dharamsala is the seat of the exile government of Dalai Lama. Manali is a picturesque city at the foot of the Himalaya, a site of legendary importance to the Hindus. Shimla is the summer capital of the British Raj era. Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Delhi - Amritsar

  (Jet Airways) - there is a Jet Airways connect 9W2633 (Jetlite) that leaves at 12:40 PM and arrives Amritsar at 1400 Golden Temple and Border Historic Ceremony The Bhaga Border Closing Ceremony for the day has a specific time 4PM entry and 4:30 is a show that last for 15mins. This has to be done first. Then move to Golden Temple. After the temple, check in to the Hotel RV International.

• Day 2 : Amritsar

  Golden Temple (again) I suggest that you get there at 7AM to have time for prayer in a peaceful atmosphere. You can spend three hours here. After that I suggest you do a side visit to Jalinwala Bagh, the old Amritsar market where traditional Punjabi things are still made and sold.
  
  Amritsar - Pathankot (by train 4037 DLI PTK EXP 15:40-18:00 AC Chair car)
  
  Pathankot - Dharamsala (by car) Here for hotel, I can offer you three choices depending on availability. The hotels are Madhuban Resort or Suriya International or Ashoka International. All are nearby the Tibetan Settlement market called McDolgunj Market.

• Day 3 : Dharamsala

  Start the day at 8AM. The sightseeing here will include Bagsunag Temple (refer to website for description), Dalai Lama Temple (if you want I can try arrange an audience with the resident Monk there but I can not promise because this is season). After these two temples, lunch break. After break, visit St John's Church in Wilderness. Then visit Kangra Fort (oldest palace in Himachal) and Temple (which is ancient dedicated to Kangra Devi). After Kangra, go to Naddi for the scenic view in sunset with the fantastic angle of Dalauhdhar Range.

• Day 4 : Dharamsala-Manali

  (by car) After early breakfast, start off the drive at 7AM. This is a 9 hours ride. In the trip, may I suggest you stop over a Palampur for a very scenic view of a tea plantation, further on visit the Vaijnath Temple (dedicated to Lord Shiva), made in the distinctive shikara architectural design, very ancient and no longer common in India.
  
  Lunch at Barot, a scenic place. Continue drive to Manali via Mandi passing Pandoh Dam and a stop over at the Hanogi Temple, another scenic area with a view of a deep gorge. Onwards to Manali. Arrival at about 5PM. Check in Evergreen Hotel.

• Day 5 : Manali Sight-Seeing

  Hadimba Temple, Vashit Sulfur Hot Water and Van Bihar. Then lunch at the hotel. Drive to Babeli to enjoy river rafting on the Beas River. On the way back we stop by at our campsite for warm drinks, relax and photography. Then go back to hotel, freshen up and have dinner by bonfire.

• Day 6 : Manali (Rohtang Pass and Solang Valley)

  I suggest you start 5AM to catch the most beautiful sunrise landscape of the Himalayas as the sun ray breaks through the snow capped mountains. Then, go trekking on snow, take photographs. Hot coffee will be provided, complimentary. Then move to Solang Valley and have lunch there. (Not included in the package – you can enjoy ATV bike ride, zorbing, horse riding.)
  
  Regarding paragliding in Solang, please be aware that it is a risky sport and not registered with any authorities, but you still can enjoy it and this is included in the package with our compliments subject to wind conditions. Drive back to Evergreen Hotel for dinner and rest..

• Day 7 : Manali - Shimla

  (by car) The group leaves for Shimla 7AM. In this trip I would like to take the group through a new route through a high pass called the Jalori Pass that is more scenic, very old villages. Check in at the Rahat Regency or Silver Inn. Lunch is provided along the way.

• Day 8 : Shimla

  Sight-seeing In the morning drive to Kufri Hill, visit the Kalibari Temple. Lunch break at the hotel. In the afternoon, free to explore the old summer capital of India with highlights at The Mall also known as the Scandal Point, The Ridge for photography and the Church, built by the British, and the icon of Shimla. Shopping.

• Day 9 : Shimla - Kalka

  Kalka - New Delhi (by train 2006 KALKA SHTBDI 06:15-10:15 AC Chair Car).
