Experience rail travel across Alaska at our best rate. Adventure Class cars offer comfortable seating and large picture windows. Open-air vestibules between railcars provide an opportunity for fresh air and excellent photo ops. Adventure Class guests are encouraged to travel between railcars, whether to take advantage of the open seating in our Vista Dome cars or visit the Wilderness Cafe.

GoldStar Pricing:
The Alaska Railroad's premium class of service offers passengers an exceptional way to travel across Alaska. Glass-dome ceilings allow for panoramic views as Alaska unfolds along the tracks, and an outdoor, upper-level viewing platform - the only of its kind in the world - offers fresh air and an excellent vantage point for photos. On the lower level of GoldStar railcars, passengers enjoy a full-service dining room; GoldStar tickets include meals, all soft beverages and two complimentary adult beverages per trip for passengers over 21.

Baggage service is available. Each ticketed passenger may check two pieces of luggage. The luggage weight limit is 50 pounds per bag. The baggage fee for bikes, excess, oversized, and overweight bags is .00 per item. One carry-on item is allowed per person. Carry-on bags may not exceed 15" x 14" x 6". Please remember to carry on medications, cameras or other items that you will need during your train ride.
Tour packages that are canceled 36 or more days before travel will be refunded 90% of the booking value. No refunds will be issued 35 or less days before travel.
Duration: 6-days/6-nights
Day 1 :
Arrive in Anchorage and overnight. Plan to arrive early to explore Alaska's largest city and get a good night's rest before tomorrow's rail journey.
Day 2 :
Ride the Denali Star Train to the charming town of Talkeetna. Upon arrival, board a float plane for a scenic flight to Denali National Park, where you'll land for a guided hike in the backcountry. Overnight in Talkeetna.
Day 3 :
Continue the journey north to Denali National Park. That evening, experience an exhilarating ride rafting on the Nenana River's Class II-IV rapids. Overnight in Denali.
Day 4 :
Get your legs burning on the Triple Lakes Hike before enjoying the relaxing rail journey to Anchorage. Overnight in Anchorage.
Day 5 :
Ride the Glacier Discovery Train to the Spencer Glacier Whistle Stop. Here, you and your guide will kayak amid glacial icebergs to the terminus of Spencer Glacier, where you'll gear up with harnesses and crampons to explore the glacier's incredible features. Travel to Girdwood and overnight at the Hotel Alyeska.
Day 6 :
Take the Coastal Classic Train to Seward and spend the afternoon on a ziplining adventure. Sail through a glacier-carved valley on eight zips, three sky bridges and two repels. Return by rail to Anchorage and overnight.
