There’s much more to northeast Vietnam than Halong Bay. The sinking limestone plateau, which gave birth to the bay’s spectacular islands, continues for some 100km to the Chinese border. The area immediately northeast of Halong Bay is part of Bai Tu Long National Park.

Bai Tu Long Bay is every bit as beautiful as its famous neighbour. In some ways it’s actually more stunning, since it’s only in its initial stages as a destination for travellers. Improved boat transport to the scattering of resorts here means the area is quickly growing in popularity with domestic tourists, but the bay and its islands are still unpolluted and relatively undeveloped. Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : HANOI - BAI TU LONG BAY

  07: 30 Pickup from Hotel to Tuan Chau Harbor (for guests booked Ancora's transfer services)
  12: 00 Arrive to Ancora Lounge in Tuan Chau Harbor.
  12: 45 Board: Welcome drinks and a quick briefing of the itinerary and safety information by our Cruise Manager.
  
  13: 15 Let the vacation begin with delicious lunch as the boat cruises towards to Vung Vieng floating village
  
  15: 45 Visit Vung Vieng floating village by rowing boat or kayaking.
  16: 45 Back to boat, enjoy Spa, drink at bar counter or relax on sundeck.
  17: 00 Bar opens for the Happy Hour "Buy one get one free".
  18: 15 Cooking demonstration with traditional Vietnamese food on the sundeck (or in the restaurant if weather does not allow).
  19: 15 A special dinner will be served in the restaurant.
  21: 00 Free time for squid fishing at reception, or relaxing at the bar.
• Day 2 : BAI TU LONG BAY - HANOI

  06: 15 Early start for a Tai Chi demonstration on the sundeck (tea and coffee available)
  07: 00 Take in the morning view of the Bay’s landscape with a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy breakfast in the fresh air.
  
  07: 30 Visit Thien Canh Son cave – a beautiful cave in Bai Tu Long Bay
  09: 30 Check out: please put your baggage out and settle your bill at reception.
  10: 00 Brunch will be served in the restaurant while the boat heads back to harbor.
  11: 15 Disembark and farewell.
