The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are a group of islands at the juncture of the Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea, and are a Union Territory of India.
The territory is 150 km (93 mi) north of Indonesia and separated from Thailand and Myanmar (Burma) by the Andaman Sea. It comprises two island groups, the Andaman Islands and the Nicobar Islands, separated by the 10°N parallel, with the Andamans to the north of this latitude, and the Nicobars to the south.
The territory's capital is the Andamanese town of Port Blair. The total land area of the territory is approximately 8,073 km2 (3,117 sq mi).

How to Reach
Andaman , being an island, can be reached in only two ways - By air or by sea.
Flight: You have direct daily flights to Port Blair (capital of Andaman) from Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai. Some flights also fly from Bhuwaneshwar on certain days.
Ship: They sail from Chennai, Vizag & Kolkata. There are usually 3-4 sailings every month and the tentative sailing schedule can be found here. Ship voyage takes about 50-60 hours

Day 1 : Arrive To Port Blair

Declared a national memorial, this three storey prison constructed by Britishers in 1906, is a pilgrimage destination for freedom fighters.The day draws to a gentle close with the Sound and Light Show at the historic Cellular Jail which gives you a vivid experience of its strong association with the freedom fighters and their struggle for independence.
Day 2 : Port Blair, Ross Island, Coral Island
Visit Ross Island. Once the administrative headquarters of the British and capital of these Islands, the island is now under the Indian Navy. It stands now as a ruin of the bygone days with the old structures almost in debris. There is a small museum named Smritika, it holds photographs and the other antiques of the Britishers relevant to these islands. The island is famous for friendly flocks of Deer and lush green walking trails. North Bay, the water lovers may enjoy snorkelling or take a glass bottom boat ride in its shallow waters with a chance to see corals up close. Viper Island is visited by number of tourists as it has multiple attractions with historical importance and also has mesmerizing picnic spots with natural picturesque environments Return to the hotel. Day 3 : Port Blair - City Tours
Port Blair City which covers’, Anthropological Museum which displays the tools, models habitats, art and handcrafts of the aboriginal tribes of Andaman & Nicobar Islands., Carbyn’s Cove. Chatham Saw Mill, Forest Museum, Samudrika (Naval Marine Museum), Fisheries museum, Science Centre and water sports complex.
