In Annapurna region the principal peaks of the western portion of the great Annapurna Himal, including Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Fang, Annapurna, Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Machhapuchhare, are arranged almost precisely in a circle about 10 miles in diameter with a deep glacier-covered amphitheater at the center. From this glacier basin, known as the Annapurna Sanctuary, the Modi Khola knifes its way south in a narrow gorge fully 12,000 ft. deep. Further south, the gorge opens up into a wide and fertile valley, the domain of the Gurungs. The middle and upper portions of Modi Khola offer some of the best short trekking routes in Nepal, and the valley is located so that these treks can be easily combined with treks into the Kali Gandaki region to the west.

In spite of the great heights of the surrounding peaks and ice walls, the valley floor between 12,000 and 14,000 ft. can provide comfortable camping spots if weather permits.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival

  Arrive / Transfer to Hotel / briefing / Free

• Day 2 : Pokhara

  We drive to Pokhara (910m/2986ft.) by bus which will take about 5and half to 6 hours of drive. Overnight at 3 star hotel in Pokhara.

• Day 3 : Nayapul

  We drive to Nayapul (New bridge) for an hour from where our real trek starts. We then trek from Nayapul to Tikhe Dhunga (1495m/4905ft). This will take approximately 3 hrs of walk. Overnight at guest house,

• Day 4 : Trek

  On fourth day we continue our trek from Tikhe Dhunga to Ghorepani (2850m/9350ft). walking for about 5 to 5 and half hours, Overnight at guest house

• Day 5 : Trek

  We trek from Ghorepani to Poon Hill to Tadapani (2520m/8268ft). Walking for about 6 to 6 and half hours. Overnight at guest house, AP plan

• Day 6 : Trek

  We trek from Tadapani to Sinuwa (2310m/7579ft) walking for about 6 to7 hours. Overnight at guest house, AP plan

• Day 7 : Trek

  We trek from Sinuwa to Deurali (3150m/10335ft). walking for about 6 to 7 hours, Overnight at guest house, AP plan

• Day 8 : Trek

  We Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4090m/13418ft). This will take walking of 4 to 5 hours. Overnight at guest house, AP plan

• Day 9 : Trek

  We Trek from Annapurna base camp to Dovan continuously walking 5 to 5:30 hours per day. Overnight at guest house. AP plan

• Day 10 : Trek

  We Trek from Himalaya Hotel to Chomrong (2310m/6994ft). Walking for about 6 to 7 hours. Overnight at guest house, AP plan

• Day 11 : Trek

  We Trek Chomrong to Ghaundrung (1940m/6365ft). Walking for about 4 to 5 hours. Overnight at guest house, AP plan

• Day 12 : Trek

  We trek from Ghaundrung to Nayapul which will take walking for 5 to 6 hours. Then drive back to Pokhara (910m/2986ft) which will take an hour of bus ride. Overnight at 3 star Hotel in Pokhara, BB plan.

• Day 13 : Kathmandu

  Drive back to Kathmandu by tourist bus which will take approximately drive of 6 to 7 hours. Overnight at 3 star hotel in Kathmandu. MAP plan

• Day 14 : Departure

  After breakfast transfer to the Airport for departure.
