The Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek, also known as the Annapurna Sanctuary trek, is for trekkers who are looking for spectacular scenery and a great trekking experience.The Annapurna Base Camp lies at a height of 4,135 meters and is where mountaineers start their summit of Annapurna I, the 10th highest peak in the world at 8,091 meters. The ABC trail traverses a variety of terrain ranging from glacier moraine and rice terraces to rocky stone steps and, along the way, offers an amphitheater of huge Himalayan peaks.In addition to the great scenery, the trek takes you through the villages of the ethnic communities of Gurung and Magar. While this trek can be undertaken all year round, it is especially beautiful during spring as rhododendron flowers along the trail turn red, pink and white. The ABC is a classic trail and is recommended for anyone looking for a great trekking experience!
Day 1 : Arrive in Kathmandu. (1350 meters)
Our representatives greet you outside the arrival terminal and transfer you to your Hotel. (Overnight at Hotel)
Day 2 : Sightseeing and Trek Preparation.
A half-day guided tour to several of historical and spiritual attractions enlisted under the World Heritage Sites. The trek leader will meet the group for a meeting and provide a detailed briefing on the trek. All the required information regarding the trek would be provided. (Overnight at Hotel. Breakfast included)
Day 3 : Flight to Pokhara &Drive to Naya Pul (1000 meters) and Trek to Tikhedunga. (1550 meters)
After breakfast, in Hotel Kathmandu A private car will drop us at Kathmandu domestic airport and take a scenic flight to Pokhara about 25 minutes. After landing in Pokhara airport continue the drive to Naya Pul, an hour and a half hour away from Pokhara. The trek starts at Nayapul and passes through the villages of Birethanthi, Sudame, and Hille. The trail follows the BhurungdiKhola (Khola Means River in Nepali) for the whole day and finally reaches the day’s destination, Tikhedhunga. An easy and short day to kick off the trek. (1:30 hours drive and 3 hours trek)

Day 4 : Trek to Ghorepani. (2850 meters)
After crossing the BhurungdiKhola on a suspension bridge at the start of the day, climbing steep paved steps until the village of Ulleri finally gets the day and the trek going. It steadies a bit and turns gradually up to Banthati. After Banthati, the trail starts to go gradually uphill through the shades of the Rhododendron forest and passes NangeThati, the last village before reaching Ghorepani. (5 hours)

Day 5 : Climb Poon Hill (3210 meters) and trek to Tadapani. (2600 meters)
Early morning hike up to Poon Hill (1 hour), one of the best viewpoints of the region to enjoy the sunrise above the spectacular mountain ranges of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. We return for breakfast at Ghorepani and then trek towards Tadapani, climbing a gentle ridge of yet another Rhododendron forest with the views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Ranges still delighting us. The trail leaves the ridge after Deurali and starts to descend steeply to NangeThati. A steady and easy walk is soon followed again by another descent down to a small stream with a final climb in the afternoon finally ending the day at Tadapani. (5 hours)(Overnight at Teahouse. Day 6 : Trek to Chomrong. (2100 meters)
A downhill trail in the lovely jungle takes to Chuile (2170 meters) and more descent follows up to KimrongKhola. Another suspension bridge and a steep climb follow until the trail finally steadies at the latter part of the day just before reaching the village of Chomrong. Chomrong is one of the biggest settlements of the region and offers a close-up view of Annapurna South (7219 meters) and Hiunchuli (6434 meters). (5 hours) (Overnight at Teahouse. Day 7 : Trek to Dovan. (2500 meters)
The day starts with another descent and ascends of the valley. The ascend ends at Sinuwaand enters the final valley that leads to the Annapurna Base Camp. A gradual walk through the jungle leads to Bamboo and the trail stills continues in the jungle slowly gaining more height as it reaches Dovan. (5 hours)

Day 8 : Trek to Machapuchhre Base Camp. (3700 meters)
After Dovan, the jungle starts to get thinner and after passing through the Himalayas, the alpine vegetation can be enjoyed for the first time on the trek. A careful passing of the infamous avalanche-prone area and a gradual climb leads to a wider valley with the mountains slowly appearing in the northern direction. A different angled view of Machapuchhre and Annapurna South waits at Machapuchhre Base Camp.

Day 9 : Trek to Annapurna Base Camp. (4130 meters)
An easy walk with eye-catching Himalayas views on the gradual landscapes leads to the Annapurna Base Camp. The Base Camp is situated just above the South Annapurna glacier and is enclosed by towering mountainsin all other directions than the valley leading to it and thus giving it the name of Annapurna Sanctuary. Annapurna I (8091 meters), Annapurna Fang (7647 meters), Annapurna South (7219 meters), Hiunchuli (6434 meters), Gandharva Chuli (5695 meters) and Machapuchhre (6997 meters) are all visible from Base Camp at a different angle than viewed from Poon Hill keeping the trek and views interesting as ever. Day 10 : Trek back to Bamboo. (2310 meters)
An early morning wake-up to enjoy the sunrise over the mountains is an interesting option before heading back to Bamboo. The return route is the same route and with an 1800 meters drop in altitude, most part of the day is spent descending. (6 hours) (Overnight at Teahouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included)
Day 11 : Trek back to Jhinu Danda. (1780 meters)
The trek still continues on the same route as of before all the way up to Chomrong. From Chomrong, the trek heads into a new route following a steep descent of the paved steps that leads us Jhinu Danda. From Jhinu Danda, an exciting option of hot spring is available nearby; another 20 minutes descend to the banks of the Modi Khola. (5 hours) (Overnight at Teahouse. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included)
Day 12 : Trek to Pothana. (1890 meters)
The descend continues until New Bridge, a suspension bridge takes us to the other side of Modi Khola. The walk gets easier for a while on a sort of flat terrain but gets steeper as the trail gets closer to Landruk. After Landruk, the trail passes through the village of Tolka and then enters the forest with a steep climb to PitamDeurali. PitamDeurali offers views of the valleys of Pokhara and the valleys left behind. Another easy walk on an easy terrain leads to Pothana, the last night of the trek on a teahouse. (6 hours)

Day 13 : Trek to Phedi (1130 meters) and drive to Pokhara.
With a different view of Machapuchhre than from previous days, we descend down to the village of Dhampus and then through the terraced field until we are on the final steep paved steps for the last time. The steps lead to Phedi, the end of the trek. A private vehicle awaits and a 15-minute drive separates you from the city and its luxuries. (2 hours) (Overnight at Hotel. Breakfast included)
Day 14 : Pokhara Sightseeing.
A half-day guided tour to the most popular and historical sites of Pokhara followed by a leisurely afternoon. Adventure activities like paragliding, white water rafting and the world’s most extreme zip line, all at a bargain price compared to other countries, are the options available at Pokhara.

Day 15 : Fly back to Kathmandu.
A 25-minute flight to Kathmandu and a whole day to explore the capital. Further adventure activities like rock climbing, hiking, biking around the Kathmandu valley with bungee jumping, and rafting near the valleys can be done on this free day.

Day 16 : Departure
Our representative will check your flight tickets and transfer you to the airport two hours before your flight with the hope of seeing you again in the future.
