Annapurna Base Camp trekking is awe-inspiring and one of those rare treks that offer a varied range of vistas leading you so near to the base of 7000m/8000m peaks within a short time interval. Our trailblazing venture begins from Nayapul or Dhampus taking you through pleasant terraced paddy fields, stunning sceneries and green colourful Rhododendron forests along with frequent panoramas of the mighty Annapurna Himalayan range.

Annapurna Base Camp trekking, also known as ‘Annapurna Sanctuary trek’ is the most enthralling trek in the Annapurna region that leads you to the awesome Himalayan Mountains and to Annapurna-I base camp. This trek is a simple and fascinating trek up to the base of the massive Annapurna Himalayas. We wade into alpine territory within 5 days to reach Annapurna Base Camp.

Our journey takes off with a panoramic drive or flight from Kathmandu to the City of Lakes, Pokhara. Surrounded by mountain peaks and tropical hills, Pokhara is a trekker's hub where we warm up with some sightseeing of the lake city and do some boating on the Phewa Lake. With a drive either to Phedi or Nayapul, which are both start points of Annapurna Base Camp trekking, our hike takes us to Chhomrong, a lovely Magar village at the foothills of the amazing Annapurna. We move on with our trek down to Chhomrong River and we ascend to Sinuwa from where gorgeous Fishtail Mountain is clearly visible. The trail continues through bamboo forest to Dovan, into the Himalaya to Deurali where the views change into barren stark landscapes. As the gorge broadens, we steadily ascend to Fishtail (Machapuchare) base camp at 3700m to experience sensational mountain vistas from a natural amphitheatre. This will be a moment never to be forgotten with the glorious views of gigantic Himalayas - Annapurna I, Fishtail, Gangapurna, Annapurna south, Hiunchuli, and many other dazzling peaks from the base camp along with the splendid treasure, the Annapurna glacier.

We bring down the curtains to our Annapurna Base Camp odyssey as we trek back through the same route, enjoying a bath at the natural hot springs at Jinudanda on our way back to Kathmandu and a luxurious soft bed to reminisce on an Alpine journey of epic proportions!

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m).

  Upon your arrival at Kathmandu airport, you will meet and greet by one of our trek leaders and transfer to hotel. After a rest and refreshment we invite you to join the welcome dinner at a typical Nepali restaurant. Enjoy the local meal and drinks with a short briefing of Annapurna base camp trek. Overnight at hotel.
• Day 2 : Trek Preparation or Packing Day or Sightseeing Tour of Kathmandu Valley.

  Breakfast will be at hotel, today is trek preparation and packing day or if you wish to see some of the historical places of medieval Kathmandu, we can organize a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley. The major places in the tour include Kathmandu Durbar square, Pasupatinath temple, Monkey temple and bouddhanath stupa. Overnight at hotel.
• Day 3 : Drive or Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara, 200km/6hours Drive or 25 Minutes Flight.

  After breakfast, we take a scenic drive to Pokhara, it will be about 6 hour journey by tourist coach or take a 30 minute mountain flight. Upon arrival at Pokhara, check in to hotel, after refreshment leisurely walk around lakeside. Overnight at hotel.
• Day 4 : Drive from Pokhara to Phedi and Trek to Tolka, Half An Hour Drive, 4 Hours Walking.

  Drives to Phedi (30 minutes) and trek up to Dhampus, walking mostly uphill through cultivated fields and local villages… This scenic Gurung Village is inhabited by a mix of people: Gurung, Brahman, Magar communities and it offers a spectacular view of the Himalayan ranges including the Annapurna and Machhapuchhare range after having a lunch in Dhampus continue walking to Tolka a nice Gurung village. Overnight at guest house.
• Day 5 : Trek from Tolka to Chhomrong, 5 to 6 Hours Walking

  Walking through nice terraces to Landruk a beautiful Gurung village provides you an excellent view from Landruk trail continue to Jhinu you can enjoy a natural hot spring at Jhinu danda from here another hour uphill to Chhomrong. Stay at Chhomrong(2040m) towering above the villages is the mighty peak of Annapurna south, with the Fishtail facing it across the valley. Overnight at guest house.
• Day 6 : Trek from Chhomrong to Dovan, 5 to 6 Hours Walking.

  Walk through the forest of Bamboo. The track winds steeply up through deep bamboo and rhododendron forest to the village of Dovan. Overnight at guest house.
• Day 7 : Trek from Dovan to Machhapuchre Base Camp, 5 to 6 Hours Walking

  A trek of the narrow Modi khola valley will bring us almost to the base of the M.B.C. Here we will spend a day gazing away at the snow covered peaks above and the beauty of the landscape around. Overnight at guest house.
• Day 8 : Trek from Machhapuchre Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp, 3 to 4 Hours Walking

  Early morning climb to A.B.C. where we stand in the sanctuary, the 360 degree views are breathtaking, although clouds roll in early, the curtain often lifts at sunset to rival radiant, glowing peaks. Trek back to Dovan. Overnight at guest house.
• Day 9 : Trek from Dovan to Chhomrong, 5 to 6 Hours Walking.

  After breakfast, we hike down to Bamboo then to Sinuwa, we will stop for a lunch at this place. After lunch we continue to Chhomrong, a large village inhabited by the Gurung and Magar people. Overnight at guest house.
• Day 10 : Trek from Chhomrong to Ghandruk and to Pokhara, 6 to 7 Hours Walking and 2 Hrs Drive.

  Walking through a flat level after an hour climb down to Kimrong Khola and start ascending we will walk through lush rhododendron forests and nice terrace flied. Having lunch in Ghandruk, an ideal vantage point in this pristine village offers breathtaking views of Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Machhapuchhare and Hiunchuli, continue walking down to Birethanti along the terraced fields beneath the splendid panorama of awe-inspiring glaciated Himalayan mountain ranges, from Nayapul drive back to Pokhara. Overnight at hotel.
• Day 11 : Fly or Drive Back to Kathmandu, Drive 6 Hours, Flight 25 Minute.

  After breakfast at hotel in Pokhara, we take a scenic drive to Kathmandu or take a mountain flight. In the evening join the farewell dinner with cultural show. Overnight at hotel.
• Day 12 : Final Departure.

  After breakfast, we transfer you to airport for your international fight.
