Package Overview

Opened to foreigners since 1977, the Annapurna Circuit Trek has been proved as one of the best trekking routes of Nepal that offers you an experience to cherish for lifetime. The trek is unique as it covers altitudes from 900m to 5416m (Throng- La Pass touching the border of Tibetan plateau) in just over 300 km where you can enjoy an unusually wide range of climatic zones from tropic to arctic in a short time.

Annapurna Circuit Trek takes you to the captivating view of Annapurna Massif (Annapurna I-IV), Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchre, Manaslu, Gangapurna and Tilicho Peak seen at close quarters. Numerous peaks of 6000-8000m in elevation rise from the Annapurna range. Annapurna Circuit Trek begins at Besisahar or BhulBhule in Marshyangdi river valley and concludes in the Kali Gandaki Gorge, the world’s deepest river gorge. It consists of four regions – Lamjung, Manang, Mustang and Myagdi passing through and crosses two different river valley.

The trail is famous for splendid forests, amazing waterfalls and majestic cliffs. One of the amazing thing about this trek is that you also get to see and rejoice cultural variety from Hindu villages at the low foothills to the Buddhist culture of Mananag Valley and lower Mustang with ethnic cultures like Gurung, Magar, Sherpa, Lama and Thakalis. Throughout the walk, you can enjoy the regular contact with friendly villagers from different ethnic groups and get dazzled by ever-changing panoramas of some of the world’s most magnificient mountain scenery up close.

This trek also follows the ancient paths used as trade routes between Nepal and Tibet. The breathtaking, majestic Himalayan scenery can mesmerize anyone at just one glance, captures you at the moment and you will forget not only all your weariness of the journey but also the stress of the modern life your living. The highest point of this trek is Throng-La pass at 5416m.For a convenient journey to cross the pass, the circuit is usually walked in a counter clockwise direction. Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

  After arriving in Kathmandu, a representative from Leaf Holidays will receive you from the airport and takes you to your hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu

• Day 2 : Sightseeing in Kathmandu

  Today after breakfast we will take you to a guided tour to a few of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu which are also listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites. We will be visiting to the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath) and Buddhist shrine (Boudhanath), which is one other one of the largest stupas in the society. Overnight stay in Kathmandu

• Day 5 : Chame to Pisang (3,300m/10824ft): 5 – 6 hours

  A steep and narrow path any very dense forest offers us to the dramatic curved rock face, rising 1500m from the river. This is probably the steepest a part of the Marshyangdi Valley, so steep how the trail is carved in the vertical good ole'. After passing this last chunk of rock, the valley opens with majestic vistas. And right where the valley widens stands the Paungda Danda, a massive sloping rock face that rises over 5,000ft (1500m) above the trail. We trek for while before reaching Lower Pisang where we spend the night

• Day 6 : Pisang to Manang: 6 – 7 hours

  There are two routes to Manang but we follow the trail that can take us to Upper Pisang via Geru. This trail guarantees excellent views for this beautiful landscape and the mighty mountains including Annapurna and Pisang. We start by getting to notice a contrast your past landscape and vegetation from today. The cold and dry climate also creates a much harsher environment. Our short trip to Barge monastery, the largest monastery on the inside entire district of Manang will be memorable. Overnight at Manang

• Day 7 : Manang: Acclimatization day

  Today is the day to rest. You can go for quick hike with the idea to Bhojo Gumba or Gangapurna Lake. Once we have the energy, could even hike to Vraga Village where we can visit the Himalayan Rescue Association which will give us an idea about Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Overnight in Manang

• Day 8 : Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110m/13,484ft): 4-5 hours

  From Manang village, the trail crosses a stream, climbs to a village of Tenki and continues to climb associated with your the Marshyangdi Valley turning northwest within the valley of Jarsang Khola. The trail follows this valley northward, passing a few pastures in addition a scrub of juniper trees, as it steadily gains elevation. The trail further passes nearby the small village of Ghunsa, a cluster of flat mud roofs just below the trailhead. The trail by meadows where horses and yaks graze. After crossing Hook River on a wooden bridge, the trail passes early old Mani wall in a pleasant meadow and then reaches another small village of Yak Kharka. Overnight at Yak Kharka

• Day 9 : Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4,600m/15,092ft): 3 – 4 hours

  It is actually definitely an uphill walk to Thorong Phedi. After walking for whatever reason time we cross a suspension bridge and reach Ledar Township. We ascend furthermore and pass through towering cliffs before reaching Thorong Phedi, the last village before Thorong La pass. On this trip are usually rewarded with one of the best views of Mt. Gundang, Mt. Syagang, Thorung Peak and Mt. Katungkulan Said too often. Phedi in Nepalese is known as the foot of a mountain. Overnight in Thorong Phedi

• Day 10 : Thorong Phedi to Muktinath (3,800m/12,467ft) via Thorong La passes (5416m/17764ft): 7 – 8 hours

  Crossing Thorong La pass, one for the highest passes in the world, is actually going to our ultimate objective at the moment. We will be crossing the pass from east to west (Manang to Muktinath) which is the easiest and safest new trend. We get up around three in the morning and walk within the mountain. We all finally ensure that it is to the top, understand that our journey was worth the device. We can have a few photos before maneuvering to Muktinath Valley at the foot with the Thorong La pass. • Day 12 : Drive from Jomsom to Tatopani by Jeep

  Today after breakfast, we will drive from Jomsom to tatopani by jeep. Overnight in Tatopani

• Day 13 : Drive from Tatopani to Ghorepani (2,850m/9,350ft): 7 – 8 hours, Trek in Ghorepani

  We leave the Kali Gandaki and head within the Ghar Khola valley. The trail leads us the terraced farmland with mountains all present. We pass through the villages of Shikha and Chitre before reaching a stylish rhododendron hit. When in bloom the rhododendron trees with its average height of up to a whopping 100" will be covered with pink or red a flower arrangement. Walking further we reach Ghorepani, a phenomenal village located at a ridge top notch. Overnight in Ghorepani

• Day 14 : Trekking from Ghorepani to Ghandruk, Overnight in Ghorepani

  Today after early morning breakfast we will start our trek from Ghorepani to Ghandruk. Overnight in Ghorepani

• Day 15 : Trekking from Ghorepani to Pokhara via Nayapul, Overnight in pokhara

  Today after early morning breakfast we will start our trek from ghorepani to pokhara via nayapul. Overnight in Pokhara

• Day 16 : Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu: 5-6 hours

  After breakfast, observing the scenic beauty of pokhara we drive towards Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu, we have sufficient time for the entire day to rest or do some souvenir going shopping. At evening we will have farewell dinner after entire trip discussion. Overnight in Kathmandu
