Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival Bari

  Upon arrival at Bari airport please proceed through the Passport Control and collect your luggage inside the customs area. Meet your driver and transfer to Bari. In the evening, meeting at the hotel with tour host which will provide information regarding the program and destinations. Overnight in Bari.
• Day 2 : Castel Del Monte & Bari

  In the morning, Half day tour of Castel del Monte with guide. Due to its shape and function, Castel del Monte is significantly distinguished from the other castles open to the public in Puglia. The octagonal shape on which the entire building is structured on one side represents a rigorous architectural design, while on the other recalls rather symbolic aspects (probably) that make a visit to the castle even more interesting. In the afternoon, walking tour of Old Bari: the extraordinary Old City largely consists of narrow and winding streets. You will find all the important medieval monuments, such as the Swabian castle and many churches, including the Cathedral of San Sabino and the Basilica of San Nicola. • Day 3 : Matera & Altamura

  Full day visit of Matera and Altamura. Matera, listed in the UNESCO site it’s the city of the Caverns, of the Entrenched Villages, of the peasant houses carved in the rock, of the frescoed Rocky Churches, of the grand Romanesque, Pugliese and Baroque Churches and of notable noble Palaces. It’s the city that geologically calls to mind ancient Jerusalem and Cappadocia. After lunch, continue to Altamura, a location inhabitated since the thousands of year. Here we will discover the way of life of this region and will taste one of the most famous bread in Italy: the Altamura’s bread. Drop off at Polignano a Mare, a village perched on high cliff south of Bari. Dinner and overnight in Polignano.

• Day 4 : Alberobello, Castellaneta, Polignano

  Full day visit of Alberobello. The town was founded in the 15th century by Acquaviva-­â€D’Aragona, two counts of Conversano, on land that was originally an oak forest. Typical features of Alberobello are the trulli, white dry-­â€stone houses with conical roofs made of lapidary stones. Inside, the trulli have a square central room communicating with the other rooms of the house via arches. At the end, continue to castellaneta and enjoy a unique Food Experience. Return to Polignano and free time to discover the city of Domenico Modugno, famous for its song: “Nel Blu-­â€ Volare”. Overnight in Polignano

• Day 5 : Ostuni & Otranto

  Transfer to Lecce and en route stop in Ostuni, the “white city” and Otranto, the closest town to Greek coast. Ostuniisone most stunning cities in southern Italy famous for the dazzling effect of its white washed houses. It is Genuine and charming example of Mediterranean architecture. The city of Ostuni is a series of levels, staircases, small roads, alleys, arches and from any corner it’s possible to enjoy the view of Blu Sea or the green country around. Otranto was the meeting point of different populations like Greek, Roman, Norman, Swabian and Spanish and it was Crossroad of economical and cultural exchanges. Overnight in Lecce

• Day 6 : Lecce

  Walking tour of the beautiful town of Lecce. Lecce is one of the most beautiful art cities in southern Italy. Known as the “Florence of the South,” Lecce knows how to astonish and intrigue visitors and locals alike: its ancient Messapian origins and its archaeological ruins, left behind after Roman domination, fuse with the richness and exuberance of the Baroque churches and palazzi (typically from the 1600s). Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Lecce
