Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Chennai – Tiruthani (90 Kms / 02 Hrs 30 Mins) – Kumbakonam (300 Kms / 06 Hrs 30 Mins)

  Depart from Chennai at Morning Drive to Tiruthani. Visit Tiruttani Murugan Temple. The hill has 365 steps indicating 365 days of the year. It is one of the Arupadaiveedu, the six holy abodes of Lord Muruga. Afternoon drive to Kumbakonam. Overnight stay at Kumbakonam.
• Day 2 : Kumbakonam – Tanjore (40 Kms / 01 Hrs) - Madurai (180 Kms / 04 Hrs)

  After breakfast check out the hotel visit Swamimalai Murugan Temple. The temple has three gopuram (gateway towers), three precincts and sixty steps and each one is named after the sixty Tamil years. After drive to Madurai. Evening visit famous Brihadeshwarar Temple (built by Chola Kings). Here you can see Giant Nandi carved in a single stone, which is considered to be the second largest in India. Evening drive to Madurai. Overnight stay at Madurai.
• Day 3 : Madurai – Local Sightseeing

  After breakfast proceed to Palamudir Cholai. This hill is also known as Vrishabhadri or Idabagiri. At the foot of the hill is situated Azhakar Kovil, which is one among the 108 Divya Desams sanctified by the hymns of Azhwars sung in praise of the Vishnu enshrined in this temple. Atop the hill Lord Muruga stands majestically in the temple as the Lord of the Hills popularly known as Kurinji Nilakkizhavan in Tamil. Evening visit Madurai Meenakshi & Sundareswarar Temple. Overnight stay at Madurai.
• Day 4 : Madurai - Thiruchendur (180 Kms) - Madurai

  After breakfast visit Thirupparamkunram Murugan temple. The temple is built in rock-cut architecture and believed to have been built by the Pandyas during the 6th century. After drive to Thiruchendur Murugan Temple. This is the only one among the six sacred temple complexes to be situated near the sea shore. It is one of the largest temple complexes of India and it is one of the most visited temple complex in India. Later drive to Madurai. Overnight stay at Madurai.
• Day 5 : Madurai – Palani (120 Kms / 02 Hrs 30 Mins)

  After breakfast check out the hotel drive to Palani. Visit Palani Murugan Temple. Palani Arulmigu Shri Dhandayuthapani temple is one of the Six Abodes of Murugan. Palani temple is considered synonymous with Panchamirtam, a sweet mixture made of five ingredients. The idol of the Muruga in Palani was created and consecrated by sage Bogart, one of Hinduism's eighteen great siddhas, out of an amalgam of nine poisons or navapashanam. Afternoon drive to Chennai. Arrive same day late night at Chennai.
