  In the morning, the driver will pick you up from the hotel and take you to Arusha National Park. The park covers Mount Meru a prominent volcano with an elevation of 4566m, in the Arusha region of northeastern Tanzania. Arusha National Park is situated a short distance from Arusha itself, making it easy to visit on a day or half-day trip. Nature is abundant here at Arusha National Park, home to Mount Meru– Tanzania’s second-highest peak after Mount Kilimanjaro.
  
  This small park, covering only 137 square kilometers, offers many attractions, including the waterfall and Ngurdoto Crater. While the latter is only three kilometres across, it resembles Ngorongoro Crater which the locals call Ngorongoro’s younger brother. Low down, as you move towards the Maasai steppe, you come across the alkaline Momella Lakes.
  
  Canoeing here is an excellent way to get closer to the pink Flamingo that feeds in the shallows. The diverse landscape holds everything from dense jungles to roaring rivers. Despite the small size of the park common animals include the giraffe, cape buffalo, zebra warthog, the black and white colobus monkey, blue monkey, flamingos, elephant, waterbuck, hippo, and dik-dik. The birdlife here is prolific, with many species like the Narina trogon and bar-tailed trogon, which are uncommon in many other areas.
