Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : LEH - BEEMA

  Drive to Beema, on the way visit Spituk and Alchi monastery, 5 - 6 hours.
  O/N camp at Beema. Beema is a small Aryan Village of about 40 - 50 houses.
• Day 2 : BEEMA - DHA

  Dha is situated 4Km from Beema. Dha is also a small village of about 35 - 45 houses. Take an easy trek on the hill of Dha and visit a local Dard (Aryan) house, then back to Beema and O/N camp at Beema. Evening culture show by the artists from Beema with their culture and folk dances.
• Day 3 : DHA - LEH

  Drive back to Leh, on the road visit Lamayuru and Likir monasteries.
  Dhahanu is situated to the south west of Leh, around 163 Kms. passing through the beautiful villages of Kaltsey, Domkhar, Skurbuchan and Achinathang. There are many small villages but only two villages of Dha and Hanu are open for tourist. Being on lower altitude Dhahanu is warmer than Leh.
  The Aryans were regarded as the ‘Master Race’—tall, blue - eyed blondes endowed with superior intelligence and values. Nestled in 4 villages of Ladakh (Dah, Hano, Darchik and Garkon) the Brokpa also have blue eyes, lihter skin, and they stand taller than residents of surrounding communities. They claim to be be the pure bloodline of the Aryans and myth has it that they trace their genetic history to the members of the Alexander’s army which stayed back. Unlike the majority of the Ladakhis with Tibeto - Mongol looks, the Brokpas have Indo - Aryan features
  
  This community is believed to be the last race of Aryans, confined to the valley. With their pure Aryan features, these people seemed to have preserved their racial purity down the centuries. However, as far as their culture as well as religious practices is concerned, they come up as quite alike the ancient pre - Buddhist religion, known as Bon - Chos. Tourism in Dhahanu, Ladakh, is still not so popular and a tour takes only two days, with the nights being spent in tents.
  
  Close to the bank of Indus river, in the high mountains of Ladakh, near the LOC (Line of Control) in Kashmir, there are some small Himalayan villages. These villages are inhabited by a tribe called Brokpa, who are said to be the last pure Aryan race..
