Meghalaya, meaning "abode of clouds," is a picturesque state in northeastern India known for its rolling hills, misty valleys, and cascading waterfalls. It is famous for Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on Earth, and Mawsynram, known for recording the highest rainfall. Meghalaya's Khasi, Garo, and Jaintia tribes preserve their unique customs, languages, and matrilineal society. The state is also renowned for its living root bridges, formed by training the roots of trees over centuries to create natural bridges.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Day 1 : Guwahati – ARRIVAL - GUWAHATI Local Sightseeing

  After your arrival at Guwahati Airport, our representative will pick you and drop to your hotel. After hotel check-in, Visit Navagrah Temple , Umananda Temple , Tirupati Balaji Temple , Assam state zoo / Museum. overnight stay at Guwahati.

• Day 2 : Day 2 : Guwahati – Shillong .( 2-3 Hours ) .( Maa Kamakhya Devi Temple ) If Time Permits .

  Early Morning Visit Maa Kamakhya Devi Temple After that proceed to Shillong. En-route visit: Borapani Umiam Lake, Located about 17 km from Shillong, Umium Lake, surrounded by beautiful hills and a picturesque location is highly refreshing. It has water-sports facilities and the nearby Nehru Park has an Aviary and Orchidarium. Arrive at Shillong and check-in at the hotel. Evening if time permits visit the local market (Police Bazar). Overnight at Shillong .

• Day 3 : Day 3 : Shillong to Cherrapunji . Dumpy Valley ( 2 Hours ) .

  After Breakfast in the morning, Visit Lady Hydri Park and Ward's Lake. After That we will proceed to Cherrapunji 56 Km, En-route visit elephant falls, later the wettest place on the earth. Enjoy a pleasant drive to see roaring waterfalls leaping into deep gorges, including the famed Nohsngithiang falls. The lovely town is also famous for its limetone caves & Orange honey. Watch the Dain-Thlen falls, Noh-Kalikai Falls, Noh-Sngithiang Falls, Seven sister fall & also drive to the Mawsmai Cave, Arwa Cave, Garden of Caves and return back to your hotel in Cherrapunjee .

• Day 4 : Day 4 : Cherrapunjee to GUWAHATI (100 KMS 2.5 HRS DRIVE) ( Overnight Train ) .

  Morning After Breakfast Check-out from the hotel and Visit Garden of Caves after that Back to Guwahati, Airport drop. /Guwahati Railway Station to catch the flight or board the train for ( NJP ) onward Destination .

  Our representative will be there to receive you at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) He will be assisting for the transfer to Gangtok – Gangtok the capital of Sikkim Suits all from tranquility to adventure, land of monastery, mystic rituals & festivals at an height of 1670 meters / 5480 feet and is the most visited spot of India - It is one of the most beautiful town with varieties of Rhododendron, Orchids and butterflies - Nearly 135 kilometers 4 ½ - 5 hours drive – Check into hotel – Evening free to roam around M G Road (Mall) or local Shopping center - Over Night stay at Gangtok.

• Day 6 : Day 6 : Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir (Full Day) Nathula Pass On @ Extra Charge.

  Morning breakfast at hotel – Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir ( New ) nearly 40 kilometers - The Lake is oval shaped lake nearly 50 feet deep - Generally covered in snow for most of the year – This lake is home to the Brahmini ducks & many migratory birds – Nearby is the sacred Baba Mandir known to be a very holy site for all - Nathu La Pass to the Republic of China is nearly 20 kilometers and is optional tour - Back to Gangtok - Evening free to roam around M G Road (Mall) or local Shopping center - Over Night stay at Gangtok.

  After breakfast at hotel – Drive to Darjeeling. Darjeeling(2123 meters / 7001 feet) is located in northern part of West Bengal. Check-in to the hotel – Evening enjoy Toy train ride (on own cost). Then free to stroll around the Mall, Chowrasta or the Local market area - Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

  Early morning at around 3:45 AM drive to 8000 feet / 2440 meters through primitive forests of oak, magnolia to Tiger Hill to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather) - On the way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Peace memorial & Batasia Loop – Back to hotel for breakfast – After breakfast next round of sight seeing - Half Day city tour includes Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tensing Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center (Closed on Sunday), Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (Sunday Closed), Peace Pagoda – Then proceed to NJP hotel.
