Assam & Arunachal Pradesh-Tawang Sector Tour

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Assam & Arunachal Pradesh - Tawang Sector

  Arrive Guwahati airport, meet and assist by EITT staff at the airport. Drive to Nameri Eco camp, Tezpur (Eco camp has comfortable double bedded tents with a thatched roof canopy) .Lunch on the way in a nice restaurant. Dinner and overnight at Eco camp.
• Day 2 : Tezpur – Dirang

  (Drive from Eco Camp to Dirang– 180 kms/7 hours)
  Transfer to Dirang and check into Hotel Pemaling. Evening visit Dirang town and local market. Dinner and overnight.
• Day 3 : Dirang – Tawang

  After breakfast we drive to Tawang at 10200 ft. (145 kms, 5 hours). On the way we will be crossing the Sela Pass at 14000 ft, the highest motorable pass in the Northeast. Check into a hotel. Evening walk around Tawang town. Dinner and overnight.
• Day 4 : Tawang

  Today we will visit the famous 400 years old Tawang Monastery. Interact with the lamas (monks). Come back to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon visit a MONPA village. Evening visit market. Dinner and overnight
• Day 5 : Tawang – Bomdila

  Today drive to Bomdila after an early breakfast. Bomdila is located at an altitude of 8000 ft. Check into a nice hotel on arrival. Afternoon sight seeing of Bomdila town includes visit to Gompas (momastery) and market. Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight.
• Day 6 : Bomdila – Eco Camp

  After breakfast we will drive to Eco camp near the Assam Arunachal Pradesh border. Evening, walk on the banks of river Bhorelli that flows near to your camp. Come back to the camp at dusk. Dinner and overnight.
• Day 7 : Eco Camp – Guwahati

  Early morning after breakfast drive to Guwahati airport to catch your flight.
