Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : GUWAHATI - SHILLONG

  Assistance and warm traditional welcome by our representative on arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station in Guwahati. Today you will take your way to the land of mountains and mist – Shillong. Overnight halt at Shillong.
• Day 2 : SHILLONG SIGHTSEEN

  After Breakfast En route you will visit the largest manmade lake of Northeast India – Umium Lake – you can opt for some thrilling water sports in the lake. At Shillong visit Don Bosco Museum. Ward’s lake, Cathedral of Marry, the Polo Ground Overnight halt at Shillong.
• Day 3 : SHILLONG- CHERRAPUNJEE

  You will be traveling to Cherrapunjee – the wettest place on the earth. En route visit the famous Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak - to enjoy a bird’s eye view of Shillong city. At Cherrapunjee visit – Mawsmai Cave, Mawsmai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls and Nohkalikai Falls. After lunch at Cherrapunjee, visit Thankarang Park, Koh Ramhah and Khrem Falls. Drive back to Shillong for overnight halt.

• Day 4 : SHILLONG –MAWLYNNONG VILLAGE

  Early morning drive forMAWLYNNONG,nestled in the pristine hill state of Meghalaya, is along the Indo-Bangla border. This cute and colourful little village is known for its cleanliness. The village is a picture perfect painting. The village is situated about 75 kilometres from Shillong. They mostly grow betel nut. About 82 households live in Mawlynnong. Keeping the surrounding environment clean is an age old tradition. Explore the Root Bridge in the village. Evening at leisure.
  
• Day 5 : SHILLONG to KAZIRANGA

  oday morning explore proceed to Kaziranga National Park, the home of the “ONE HORNED RHINOCEROS”. Check in at hotel.Evening free at leisure.
  Kaziranga National Park: In the heart of Assam, covering an area of 430 sq-kms, is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds. In 1985, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its unique natural environment.
• Day 6 : JUNGLE ACTIVITY AT KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

  After an early wake up, you will be taken to the riding point in the Central Range (Kohora) for an Elephant Ride. After the ride return back to the lodge, having breakfast at 7 a.m drive to the Central Rang (Kohora) of the park for a jeep safari or after lunch at 2.15 .
  In case the Kaziranga National park is closed(CLOSING PERIOD: 1 st MAY TO 31st OCTOBER), we will do a joy rideon the Elephant. Then go for the local sight seeing to the Green Tea Gardern, the Ganesh temple as well as the Handicraft village.
  Evening enjoy the Traditional BIHU DANCE of Assam (On Request)..

• Day 7 : KAZIRANGA to GUWAHATI

  Early morning drive back to Guwahati. Transfer to hotel. After refreshment explore the culture and traditions of the north east states by visiting Sri Shankardeva Kalakshetra-a cultural centre with a fine exposition of the life and culture of the people of Assam. Then visit Shilpagram for exquisite handicrafts of the north east region then visit Balaji Temple. Evening at leisure.
• Day 8 : GUWAHATI - DEPARTURE

  After breakfast visit the Kamakhya Temple on the Nilachal Hills (10kms) – a seat of the tantric cult in India and one of the 108 Shakti Pethas in the country. Thereafter visit the Umananda Temple in the midst of the river Brahmaputra and transfer to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for onward journey with sweet memories.
