Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive at Guwahati

  Pick up from Guwahati airport at 2 o’clock; drive to Shillong via Kamakhya Temple (120kms /3hrs) which is capital of Meghalaya- the abode clouds. There is a good Vegetarian Restaurant at Jorabat called Makhan Bhog. You can have a midway halt at Nongpoh to stretch your legs, for tea / coffee, snacks, fruits or food. There are some good restaurants immediately after you cross Nongpoh market area - L.C. Woodlands, Broadway Restaurant, and Sweet Day Restaurant. Check in to the hotel. In the evening visit the local market and the lake in Shillong. Overnight at hotel.
• Day 2 : Shillong- Day trip to Cherrapunjee-Guwahati

  After breakfast at the hotel full day trip to Cherrapunjee (56kms/2hrs) – this is a very scenic drive enabling one to see the cloud covered hills and the deep gorges. At Cherrapunjee visit the limestone caves and the waterfalls. After lunch, return to Shillong, on the way you can also visit few sightseeing spots like Shillong peak, Elephant Falls, Seven sisters’ falls. Reaching Guwahati by evening. Overnight at hotel.

• Day 3 : Guwahati sightseeing:

  After breakfast or without breakfast visit KAMAKHYA TEMPLE on the Nilachal hills. (10km/30mnts).It is suggested that a special entry pass for the temple is obtained prior to the visit to avoid waiting time. As said you can spend maximum time in Kamakhya. Overnight at the hotel.
• Day 4 :

  Tour ends drop at the Airport for onward destination
