• Day 2 : Sightseeing in Auli

  In the morning get freshen up and leave for the sightseeing expedition of Auli and its exquisite surroundings. There is no scarcity of tourist attractions in this hill station, which is why travellers frequent travel it quite often. A few kilometres from Auli is nestled Gurso Bugyal, which is a large region of luscious green grassland set amidst dense forests. Close to it lies Chattrakund – a twinkling sweet water lake located at an altitude of above 3000 metres. Another popular water body in Auli is the crystal-clear Artificial Lake, which is among-st the advanced man-made lakes in the world. It was introduced to provide artificial snow for the purpose of skiing on the slopes when snowfall is scarce. You can move towards Joshimath, which is a little hamlet settled close to Auli. It is one of the four maths introduced by Adi Guru Shankaracharya, and houses various old temples of vast religious importance for the Hindus. While being here, you can also explore the nearby Chenab Lake, which is tranquil and uncontaminated as compared to any other place. Another place of reverence that you can visit is Bhavishya Badri, which is believed to be worshiped as the substitute of the Badrinath shrine in the far future. After a full-day expedition of the hill station, move back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
