Day 1 : Arrival - Melbourne
Arrive at Melbourne airport and meet up with your guide outside the airport. After checking into the hotel, spend night at the hotel.
Day 2 : Melbourne
Take a guided city tour of Melbourne. See the Town Hall first. Also visit the Bourke Street Mall which is one of the best shopping hubs in Melbourne; the Parliament House which is the first seat of the Australian federal government; St Patrick’s Cathedral which is the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Melbourne and boasts of splendid Gothic architecture; Chinatown which is a distinct and well known area with Chinese people, food and culture dating back to the 1850’s and Gold Rush period; and the Princess Theatre which is an imposing landmark building and seats 1488. Also see the Royal Botanical Gardens. Visit the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the best known landmark of Melbourne and the Mecca of Australian cricket. Overnight at hotel in Melbourne.
Day 3 : Great Ocean Road - Melbourne
After breakfast, leave on a drive to the Great Ocean Road. Experience one of the most cherished drives of your life time. Prepare to be astonished by the sheer beauty of the Great Ocean Road, which hugs tightly to the coast and stretches along the Southeast coast of Australia between Geelong and Warrnambool. The road traverses rainforests, as well as beaches and cliffs composed of limestone and sandstone See the world famed ‘Twelve Apostles’ whose origin is about 20 million years ago when billions of tiny skeletal fragments created limestone formations. They were later exposed to violent seas and winds that carved out these remarkable features. Get back to Melbourne and overnight at your hotel in Melbourne.
Day 4 : Cairns
Today in the morning, check out of the hotel and drive to the airport for your flight to Cairns. Your local guide will be waiting at the airport to welcome you. After checking into your hotel and relaxing, proceed to Kuranda, a village in the rainforest by Skyrail. Gliding just metres above the rainforest canopy in comfortable six-person gondola cabins, the Skyrail journey of 7.5 kms immerses you in an intimate rainforest experience where you will see, hear, smell and become part of the tropical rainforest environment. On return, come back by coach or take the railway line to enjoy stunning views and also listen to the fascinating history of Kuranda. Overnight at your hotel in Cairns
Day 5 : Great Barrier Reef - Cairns
Leave early in the morning to see the natural wonder, the Great Barrier Reef. The expanse of 2000 kms of Coral Reef makes it the largest of its kind in the world. See the brilliant colors and fascinating life forms as you glide in your Semi-Submersible glass bottom boat. Spend the day enjoying the most spectacular marine life and corals. Enjoy a swim or snorkel to view the coral and marine life. You can also try scuba diving, undersea walk or a helicopter ride over the scenic Barrier Reef on your own at an additional charge. For those wishing to just relax, the Green Island is the best place to be where you can explore the Green Island National Park or just relax on the white sandy beach and even have a bite or two at the hotels there. Day 6 : Brisbane - Tangalooma
Leave next morning to the airport for your flight to Brisbane. On arrival at Brisbane International Airport, you will be met or assisted by your guide.
