The Adventures Beyond 4 Day Ayers Rock 4WD Adventure Safari is an adventure in style and you will get to experience the Western MacDonell Ranges, Ayers Rock (Uluru), The Olgas (Kata Tjuta) and Kings Canyon with a great group of travellers from all over the world.
Sleeping in safari tents at our purpose built camp sites this is an adventure of a life time in style, showcasing Ayers Rock, Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) and Kings Canyon. Unlike the 3 day tours we also explore the Western MacDonnell Ranges too.
This is a fun active trip aimed at travellers from all over the globe and of all ages. We travel in a comfortable purpose built 4 wheel drive truck and we have all the ammenities.
Day 1 : Uluru At Sunset, the Base Walk, Camel Farm and More
Commencing at approximately 6.00am we begin by heading south to Erldunda travelling through the Waterhouse / James Ranges. We stop at the Camel Farm for a camel ride (own expense)and also at Mount Ebenezer Roadhouse to view / shop for Aboriginal art. On the way to Uluru we stop to view Atila (Mount Connor) before lunch and our arrival at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. After lunch we head to the Cultural Centre to learn about the local Aboriginal law and religion (Tjukurpa) before a short, guided walk at the base of Uluru. We then enjoy the famous coulour changing Uluru at sunset with sparkling wine and nibbles, before sitting back at our camp in the desert.
Day 2 : Kata Tjuta (the Olgas), Uluru At Sunrise and More
Day 2 we experience an Uluru sunrise before heading off to Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) for a leisurely 7km walk through the "Valley of the Winds". Late morning we travel to Kings Creek Cattle Station to stay at a remote private camp, complete with bush toilet and shower. This camp has amazing views out over the George Gill Ranges, this is where you will get the feeling of the real outback of Australia. Of an evening we sit, chat and enjoy dinner around the campfire before spending another night out under the stars. You will love the Australian outback.
Day 3 : Kings Canyon, Outback Roads and Beyond
Today we travel to Watarrka (Kings Canyon). We hike the incredible 6km walk through the towering walls, soaking in the views and exploring the crevices and plateaus of Watarrka. We'll visit the Amphitheatre, Lost City and the tranquil ‘Garden of Eden’. After Watarrka we travel along the famous Mereenie Loop Road in a 4WD, where you will be shaken and not stirred! See native Australian wildlife along the way before arriving at our permanent camp at Glen Helen, nearby the stunning waterhole that the Traditional owners of this land believe is home to an ancient and powerful Rainbow Serpent.
Day 4 : Western Macdonnell Ranges, Ghost Gum Walk and More
Our final adventure day we spend the day exploring the mighty West MacDonnell Ranges. We travel off road to Ormiston Gorge, take a swim in the rock holes and look out for reptiles and other wildlife. We hike the “Ghost Gum Walk” before travelling back to Alice Springs, returning to your accommodation at approximately 5.30pm. After returning to civilisation, a hot shower awaits before joining your tour group for a farewell meal, a few cold ales and some laughs – the perfect finale to this memorable Outback tour experience.
