Package Overview

Enjoy the 6 Day Adventures Beyond Alice Springs or Uluru to Adelaide Adventure including Ayers Rock, Olgas, Kings Canyon, Coober Pedy, Flinders Ranges and more. Also available in reverse from Adelaide to Uluru / Alice Springs.

On this adventure we sleep under the stars in swags, we camp in the outback, the trip is all inclusive and is a hands on trip where everyone helps to prepare the meals, load the trailer and collect firewood for the campfire.

Although we welcome all types of travellers from all over the world, the trip is primarily aimed at backpackers and the young and young at heart. Our general passenger is 18-45, fit and adventurous and we normally have individual travellers or couples on board. If you love an adventure - you will love this trip between Alice Springs and Adelaide!

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Kings Canyon, Hikes and More!

  We depart Alice Springs at a relaxed time and head straight to Watarrka (Kings Canyon) where we trek through the gorges admiring the sandstone walls, and amazing cliffs. We trek through the Garden of Eden, we learn the stories of the aboriginal history and then head to our camp ground where you can take a swim in the pool and take on one of the optional fun adventure activities including a quad bike tour or camel ride.

• Day 2 : Uluru At Sunset, Uluru Base Walk and More

  Day 2 we head to Uluru. Nothing can prepare you for this amazing experience, we visit the cultural centre, we learn more about the Aboriginal people of the region and we take a guided base walk around Uluru. Day 2 we finish off watching a sunset over Uluru and experience the famous ever changing colours of the rock before sitting around the camp fire.

• Day 3 : Uluru Sunrise, Kings Canyon and beyond

  Today we enjoy a Uluru sunrise and breakfast, then we head into Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) and the majestic Valley of the Winds. The Olgas are amazing ancient rock formations and we exploire these for most of the day before watching another Uluru sunset and dinner. It is great to have 2 nights at Uluru to take in this majestic place.

• Day 4 : Coober Pedy, Opal Mines, Underground Bunkhouse

  Day 4 we drive to Coober Pedy, this is our largest drive of the trip and we arrive in mid afternoon. We head out to the Breakaways, we see the everchanging landscape as we head south and keep a keen eye out for Kangaroos, emus, eagles and road trains. On the way into Coober Pedy and we visit the local kangaroo orphanage before dinner, stories and and overnight stay in an underground bunkhouse.

• Day 5 : Coober Pedy, Noodle for Opals and More

  Day 5 we start by taking a tour of Coober Pedy and an opal mine. We have the opportunity to noodle for opal, we visit an opal shop and some of the other underground attractions. After exploring Coober Pedy we head further south to the Flinders Ranges where we sleep among the red gums at the foot of Australia's oldest mountain range and we camp at Stony Creek Bush Camp.

• Day 6 : Flinders Ranges, Clare Valley Winery and Adelaide

  Our final day of adventure we hike through Alligator Gorge, a gorge cut through ancient quartzite. We say farewell to the Flinders Ranges before heading close to Adelaide and the amazing Clare Valley. In the Clare Valley we stop in at a winery for some win tasting and a final celebration before arriving in Adelaide at around 5.30-6pm. An awesome 6 day adventure.
