The Hanoi Mountain Biking day trip takes you to Ba Vi, one of the mountain trails closest to Hanoi. Start the tour from your hotel in Hanoi with a car transfer to Son Tay (around 40K) where you make a warm up ride for about 10K of road miles, then start your climb up to Ba Vi mountain, Ba Vi national park. The hill station is a 1200m vertical climb over 10K, with 5-10 degree grades, all paved road. Trails are for all skill levels. The tour is arranged on private basis. The package includes English-speaking biking guide, transfers by private car with driver, lunch, mountain bikes (Trek or Giant).
Day 1 : Ba Vi National Park Mountain Biking Day Tour
7.00 am : You will be met up with Green Trail Tours team at your hotel in Hanoi.
Depart for Ba Vi national park, located 48 kms west of Hanoi. The Ba Vi national park covers an area of 7, 377 ha on a range of high mountains. The park is famous for its rich and diverse flora and fauna comprising tropical and subtropical species.
After about 1.5h drive, you arrive in Son Tay where you make a stop to load the bikes and start pedaling on paved roads. The first ride includes around 10K on paved road before you climb uphill.
The primeval rain forest of Ba Vi National Park which boasts a wide range of flora and fauna. Wandering about the forest, you seem to live in a fairyland surrounded by cloud-capped mountains and roaring waterfalls. Climbing up to the top of the mountains, you will find a temple dedicated to the Tan Vien God and can take an enthralling bird’s-eye view of the surroundings.
You make a stop for lunch (picnic).
After lunch you visit a Temple dedicated to the God of the Jungle. There will be time to make a short rest in these tranquil surroundings before starting your journey back to Hanoi.
Arriving back in Hanoi at about 6pm, you will be dropped off at your hotel. Trip ends.
